Glennon is average as a starter, but excellent as a backup.In a game or two, he could keep them from doing anything too dumb and let the defense have a chance.Orton, the same thing.Hopefully, lovie will do what needs to be done. I'm all for developing a qb with tedford, but that qb needs to have great talent to begin with. This is the PRO level after all.Glennon could sit for a couple of years anyway, and it wouldn't hurt a thing. Maybe even become a better qb.

I thought Jones held Orton up as proof of his skill as a GM? Now they might cut him?
Flynn clearly isn't a starter anywhere but GB. Cassel is a more shot version of Orton. McCown is a two or three game wonder. Orton isn't great but in a world of guys like Orlovsky he is a top end backup. I'd rather have him than any of those three guys.

Depends on whom we're looking at Orton as an upgrade too. I'm pretty sure most of us would be looking at him as an upgrade over Orlovsky. I'm not sure that really qualifies as sinking low.
