Just wow. Devin White. Injured week one, healthy scratch week 2 and 3, and out for "personal reasons" in Week 4, a game that would have been perfect for him to get some action against his old team. You think he's hit bottom but things are still getting worse. Now he's in trouble for tweeting about a sack that his buddy Lavonte David had on Hurts.
The Eagles can't cut him because of how they structured his contract. He's counting $1.7 mil against their cap. If they cut him he'll count $5+ mil against the cap. But that money comes due after this year anyway when he is cut loose. Don't be surprised if the Eagles just bite the bullet on this guy.
And don't be surprised to see him back in Tampa Bay before the year is out, because they may be the only team willing to pick him up as long as they don't have to pay his contract. The Bucs are thin at linebacker, he knows the system and he's more popular in the locker room than he is with the fans.
I honestly wouldn’t mind having him back
his heart is with the Bucs
yeah didn’t want him at $20M a year but at vet minimum last ditch effort to save the career, sure….higher reward versus the minimal risk
After what transpired last season, on the field and off, I would be stunned to see Devin White in a Buccaneer uniform again.
I'd take him back if he only blitzes.
He’s a head case so should be a hard pass BUT his “replacement” Britt is directly involved in two TDs where White probably makes the play, so anything is possible.
if you’re his agent you’d be all for it with Bowles there as HC and LVD right next to him

Absolutely blows my mind that there are already multiple people in this thread who would take him back.
Smfh…
With Dennis out it’s not a huge stretch of a hypothetical to have him coming back and even excelling, especially if Britt is the measuring stick
Even in the real world I am sure his agent (and the Eagles lol) are already for it. Bowles would also be for it IF his players were for it. Britt is probably a “no” lol
Heaven forbid, LVD goes down or we all watch Britt give up more TDs and he will be welcomed back by many!

I'm not sure what is more humorous, that or the loon thinking White would have prevented those TD's.

hey, this isn’t the game day thread. Save your (flaccid) trolling attempts for when it really matters!!!
Let's see if we can break up the troll huddle and get back to football.
Doubt it (lol) but here goes . . .
You trolled the suggestion that White would have had the speed (that Britt lacks) to stop the Denver 4th down TD
White would have prevented those TD's
Speed is the MISSING component on the play. Try to run (lol) from that now in all the ways that trolls do but here's the play:
The runner is on the 8 yard line at the start and runs around a very slow Britt starting from about the 6. Put White in that same position and he is getting there. White is many things but SLLLLLLLLOOOOWWW isn't one of them.
You might be incapable of seeing (admitting lol) that (which explains the trolling) but this is PR's FULL quote by Josh Q ("your" familiar with that guy):
"Britt and Anthony Nelson’s lack of athleticism cost the Bucs seven points on a fourth down run by Jaleeel McLaughlin."
The hope would be that Devin white was humbled a bit by (1) his benching last year (2) his lack of interest in offseason (3) his benching with eagles
is White more likely to flame out of the league then return to Bucs on vet min deal? Absolutely.
but have we not had success with last chance guys before - Leonard fournette, Antonio brown, baker mayfield to name a few

Devin White wouldn't be in that same position, as he would be tackling the FB on the other side of the field. White not being able to identify and get into his proper run fits is one of the reasons why Bowles benched White last season in favor of Britt. I have no doubt your dumbass forgot about that, while you're claiming Bowles would want White back. You're painfully clueless and altogether shameless about it.
Spoon-feeding toddlers is fun.

You're not wrong about this, but I think the difference is none of those guys burned bridges with the Buccaneer organization prior to being given their last chance with the Buccaneer organization.
After the crap he pulled here, do you think the team would sign Antonio Brown now? Me neither. I certainly could be wrong, but I'd put White in that same boat.
well if he is cut then you have to ask does he suck more than JJ Russell or whatever UPS driver they pull off the streets? If he's the starter then we have problems, but as a part timer that might be something that could be workable.he knows the system
and he absolutely sucked at it.
