CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Dolphins are "gauging trade value" for 2013 No. 3 overall draft pick Dion Jordan.In a transaction made by ex-GM Jeff Ireland, Miami sent the Nos. 12 and 42 overall picks to Oakland during last year's draft to land Jordan at No. 3 overall. Fins DC Kevin Coyle, who remains on staff, struggled to find a position fit for Jordan despite freakish athletic tools, as he only played 330 snaps on defense. Jordan's trade value after a disappointing rookie year is unclear, but his contract would be easy to fit under another team's salary cap, and he's a high-ceiling 24-year-old athlete. We suspect he could net a second-round pick, even if "giving up" on Jordan after one year would be a spectacular embarrassment to the franchise. Feb 28 - 2:13 PM
My gut told me when they drafted him so high he was going to be a bust.
I never liked him.
Jordan = Barr
I'd possibly take a flyer on him. Not a 1st round pick. Maybe a 2nd. Dude does have the athleticism. Miami is obviously a train wreck. Getting him under Leslie Frazier and Joe Cullen could do wonders for him.
Why do people pay attention to reports from LaCanfora?MAKES. STUFF. UP.Seriously, people. Look into him. He's never broken ANY story. He has no credible NFL contacts.
I think this is another installment of "Let's Make Stuff Up" but if it's not throw us a bone Hickey.
It's obvious that the plan is trade Revis for Jordon....SMH
Sheil Kapadia ?@SheilKapadiaChip last yr on Jordan: "The guy that went No. 3 we were considering very heavily but didn’t get the chance to pull the trigger on that one"==============Looks like this is targeted for the iggles...
Can he rush the QB from the DE? If he can make an offer. If not, move along.
He is cat like. Lithe and quick. Explosive. Or at least he has flashed all that before. But isn't he a bit light in the loafers? DEs that weight 230 worry me.
He was 248lbs at the combine and is listed as 260lbs now.If this is real, I'd offer a conditional 2015 pick that could be as high as a 2nd or as low as a 4th depending on his production. He is all speed on the edge. Add a beast like Donald next to McCoy and Dion Jordan is exactly the type of guy you want on the edge chasing down QBs that are trying to run sideways to avoid the interior rush. Dude played LB and even DB in college. He has outstanding movement skills. We only have 5 picks in this epic draft class though....I'm not giving up any picks this year.
He would be good somewhere like Pittsburgh.
I'm not buying a lot of what Jason La Canfora is selling lately. He seems to be throwing out a lot of hearsay, speculation and what ifs lately. The guy couldn't hang on the NFL Network and is now slumming it with CBS Sportsline.
Do us a solid Hickey. Send us Wake and Jordan for a second this year and a conditional pick next year.
