So much for the theory/lie that moves like this had to wait until after the draft.
The Bucs didn't fire him... but he knew they would.
I know. But they could have if they wanted to.
So who should the Bucs promote to director of player personnel, Stokes, Quarles, or someone from the outside?
I think with a new GM it's possible someone from the outside comes in. But who knows.

After the draft, tho'...
Yup
Yo, I bet marky mark Dominick be happy. He probably gonna get a job with the phins now.

They didn't want him as their GM... and I don't know how much pull Hickey has.

Ouch. Also, it'll be interesting to see how this goes in Miami. It's very difficult to determine who's mostly responsible for good or bad FO decisions behind the scenes; we've suspected Hickey was the culprit (and there was that article by CC recently) but we didn't know for sure.
Also there's this from your boy La Canfora:Jason La Canfora ?@JasonLaCanfora 39mWould hope Fins asst GM Brian Gaine can get the heck out of Miami and make a lateral move of some sort. He's wasting away there
No good GM candidate wants to go there because of Philbin and that lady Dawn Aponte.
Watch Hickey build a perennial winner in Miami. That's our luck.
Hickey seemed to have 2 good drafts. Those when Schiano was in charge and had a large influence due to his College knowledge I'm thinking. Before that .... ?
Im apathetic to this move. Really don't care. However, I am curious to know what Hickey has done to raise the ire of the Red Board. I get that he was a front office type and we have some pretty questionable if not horrific signings and draftees over the years. However, how do we KNOW how HE impacted the team? Anyone have any specifics?
Hahahahahaha@ArmandoSalguero: "Breaking: The Dolphins have hired Dennis Hickey as their new GM"
+1What idiots....
Charlie Campbell is lambasting the hire over at Walterfootball.com, but, then again, Campbell's views on Hickey have been clear for years. Not saying he's right or wrong, but his (very) negative opinion of Hickey has certainly been evident.
