this team sucks on both lines. even the dline regressed and gives up big runs. last yr no one could run on us at all. guess we should have kept bennett.
Part of the problem appears to be Sullivan has no answer for strong pass rushers in his "great" game plans. Most teams do...

Penn and Joseph should be able to win 50% of the 1v1 matchup as they are the "studs" on the line. When they can't do that you are handicapped as a playcaller. You can roll help over for your "studs" on the line but that exposes your other guys on the line that need help. Dotson is probably the only legit stud on this line at this point and that is sad.
While Penn is very Meh, Robert Quinn has owned every LT he's faced this year
This.
Sure, but like the OP mentioned, it wasn't just him getting whipped by Quinn. He missed multiple blitzers because he was so focused on Quinn. A really, really bad game from Penn all around. Not sure if anybody else remembers, but Penn played the best game of his career (IMO) last season against Quinn. It looked like Quinn remembered.
I like Donald, but age might be catching up to him. He can no longer move at his weight like he used to. Quinn was a nightmare today, good player.
I don't know if it's age or heart. The guy plays like he doesn't care anymore. I've seen plenty of 30+ year olds still dominate at the age of 30. I just see a lack of caring out there. He gives his guy one push then stops. Back when his boy freeman was QB he would block his butt off and even if he gave up a sack he was the first one to push the guy off his QB. I don't see that with Glennon. I see a LT who doesn't block nearly as hard as he use to at the beginning of the year. It's like he quit on this team once they released freeman.
I don't care how good Quinn has looked . Giving up 3 sacks in a game and countless pressures is simply not good enough. This game was a red flag.
EXACTLYPenn has been making everyone look like worldbeaters. dude is an out of shape revolving door. we need to get a replacement for him and maybe shift him inside to guard. hes at least wide enough to do that and his runblocking is at least still decent
Cut or trade Penn, Nicks, Joseph, Zuttah. Radical you say, it is, but at the end of the day, what ails this team is the Oline. RB's can't run, QB's have no time in te pocket and WR's have poorly thrown balls to catch. This leads to a ton of three and outs, which puts the defense back on the field and the momentum to the other team. We are loosing games because the Oline stinks. And if you look at it from the return on investment, it makes one vomit. So blow up the oline, recoup many millions and sign two free agents, draft two studs and put two linemen with upside on the PS. I know we need a blocking TE, a slot receiver or a speed receiver an a stud edge rusher but all of those take second place to fixing the Oline. I honestly don't know how anyone can objectively analyze anyone else on the team by position until Bob Bostad straightens out the oline mess. We are going NWHERE without fixung the number one problem in the offseason. Jared Allen could be the edge rusher we need, a blocking TE can be found in the middle rounds and a speed/slot receiver can be a second round pick. That leaves a lot of room to get the Oline straight.
I won't disagree that O-line is our biggest problem right now, but keep in mind that they function as a single unit. Some of them might not look so bad if they had better guys beside them. I'm just not sure that such a drastic step is necessary.
I find it funny this team benched Meredith midway through the game but doesn't have the balls to bench Penn for the last 3 awful games he's played. You bench the guy who jump started our run game but not the LT who is ruining our whole offense. Grow a pair Schiano and co.
