Love his honesty. I would guess, off the top of my head, 90% of free agents chase the almighty dollar. Look at Mario Williams for example, goes to the Bills, and its like entering the witness protection program.
Byrd and Grimes are so freaking obvious its retarded to even make such a statement. They have Barron and a big $ safety in goldson, why the fuck would they sign a third saftey to big dollars? Same goes for CB. They have revis and his 16 mil along with Banks who did a fairly good job as a rookie. Why dump that money into Grimes?Allen makes the most sense IMO at details for immediate impact and allows the bucs to pretty much draft any position they want to early. If pass rusher is off the immediate list, they can go qb, wrong, lineman, bpa.
Grimes for one didn't sign a huge contract last off season and will likely not garner a big deal again. The PR recent Fab 5 hinted at the importance a veteran nickel CB to augment behind Revis and Banks. Grimes or Tillman fit that bill and won't demand top $$. If your looking for value players in Free Agency the the Bucs should look at:Center- Brian De La PuenteDE- Jared Allen or Justin TuckWR - Golden Tate or James JonesOL - Michael Oher or Rodger Safford.
If we managed to get Jared Allen, Golden Tate and Rodger Saffold in Free Agency. I would be beyond ecstatic. Are draft would become BPA throughout.
