We won't know anything for certain for a month. The Glazers could drag their feet like they have done before, and wait until late January to fire Schiano. If they have their sights set on a coach that is in the playoffs, they can't interview that person until their team is done.

You won't see that. they won't announce anything. You will know he is staying because he won't get fired.
The Glazer's wont fire him due to the 3 years remaining. They will hold their cards assuming he gets the Penn St gig, voiding his contract with the Bucs. That will be good news, but by then, it will be a mad scramble to try and find a HC and staff. Just like always.

Yeah, his awful rep here is a myth. I pay attention to the man's stuff because I've literally seen him wrong 3-4 times out of the past 3 years. He's head and shoulders better than LaCanfora that's for damn sure.

My concern is the Glazers are waiting to see if Penn State offers Schiano the job ...that way they can let him go with no owed money. Even if that happens (is Penn State crazy???) it won't happen until O'Brien has taken an NFL job, which means later into the offseason so another coaching search when all the good candidates are gone and every other team is filling out their staffs so another staff of cast off assistants. They need to make the move NOW and start the search ASAP.
