The Oakland drafting speed thing is not just receivers.....do you all think it was just a coincidence that DJ Hayden ran a 4.33 40 at his pro day and Oakland reached big time for him at pick no.12 ???Only time will tell, but so far they are using the same MO as Al did. If you ask me the fruit doesn't fall very far from the tree. Mark Davis is the next Al Davis. Right off the bat, he is showing the exact same tendencies to draft for speed.

I think it has more to do it Hayden being the best cover corner on tape last year.AGAINST INFERIOR COMPETITION. TRUFANT AND BANKS WERE MUCH BETTER THIS YEAR.Their starting DEs combined for 9 sacks this year. But I guess they'll pass on Clowney cuz their dead owner likes speed, right? CLOWNEY WON'T BE THERE CLOWN.Ever heard of Kalif Barnes? What about Tony Pashos? Thats the starting tackles. But they'll pass on Matthews and Robinson cuz of their dead owner.THEY WON'T PICK A FIRST ROUND TACKLE BECAUSE OF ROBERT GALLERY, THE FIRST ROUND BUST.....THEY PASSED ON LARRY FITZGERALD.Pryor. McGloin. But they won't draft a QB because....?THREE QB'S MAYBE EVEN FOUR WILL BE PICKED BEFORE THEY PICK. YOU THINK THEY SHOULD DRAFT THE 4TH BEST QB AT NO.5 OVERALL?

BTW, you contradicted yourself multiple times in your response wise guy.So, tell ME, who are the Raiders going to pick? And would you like to make a friendly wager?  ??? Let me know I am game!!

Matthews and Watkins seem like the safest picks out of the top ten, I would not be surprised if both are gone before we pick.

If so it means one of the beast pass ruhers like Barr or Clowney is going to be there.  The only way we can screw this up is if we reach for a mediocre QB prospect like Derek Carr.

It continues to amaze me that people say theyre worried Watkins won't be there. If Watkins is gone before 7, that means one of the 3 QB's are there or Clowney, or one of the two Studly tackles or hell, even Barr, depending on how you feel about him. I don't think there is any question that QB, DE, and T are way more important than WR, so if some team wants to make that mistake, I embrace one of the premier prospects at the premier positions falling to us

If Bridgewater, Clowney, Matthews, and Watkins are off of the board when Tampa picks, I'm hoping for a trade back.  I don't know that Bortles or Manziel are worth a top-ten pick right now and I don't like Barr as much as most people appear to.Darqueze Dennard from Michigan State would be my pick in that scenario.

You only draft a WR when you know you have QB and DE locked down. We have NEITHER. Screw drafting this guy!

That's the big question though. Do you draft for need or BPA. We have made the mistake drafting for need many times recently. We may just need to go BPA this time and get Watkins if he is there because he will help our offense. Dude can play and will take it the distance if he has the ball in his hands. The QB or DE we want may not be there when we are on the clock. We may be left with Watkins and that's not a bad thing because he is a stud. Plus we actually do need a slot WR and this offense is going to play a slot WR a lot so he will be on the field a lot. It's not a wasted pick. It's a very good pick. I'm not sold on the QBs in this draft and I'm really all about getting a DE or another weapon for our offense. So it's Clowney, Watkins or Barr for me.

You don't like Robinson from Auburn?

In all honesty, looking at the schedule for next year, I don't know if we are setting ourselves up to draft a QB then and "looking" at Glennon this year. IF thats the case, Draft Watson. However I'd take a DE and sign a Vet QB to compete this year before this option.

The problem here is that that assumes there's a QB or DE worth drafting at our pick.  I agree that I certainly wouldn't pass on a QB or a DE to draft a WR, but that may not be what drafting Watkins would involve.

We're going to be looking at something like this:Texans - Bridge/BortlesRams - Matthews (Or Cleveland trade up for Manziel)Jags - Bortles/BridgeBrowns - ManzielOakland - WatkinsFalcons - ClowneyWe'll still have a chance at Barr, and there is a possibility we trade up with Oakland at 5 to get Clowney.

I'm ok with the idea of trading up to 5 for Clowney.  I wouldn't want to trade up too terribly much higher than that, but that shouldn't necessarily cost the team the farm.
