So you guys want to go shotgun, 4 wide with an OL that resembled a revolving door all year. Sounds great.Adding Watkins won't give us the Saints Offense overnight. We need a QB that can run that offense, then we go get him the weapons to do it. Or we stick with Glennon and a game management style (which I hate too!) and get someone on the DL.We aren't ready for a Watkins. He's a great player, but it isn't a need for us right now.
So with your logic, because we don't have a proven top 3 QB we shouldn't add playmakers to the offense? We didn't have the stud DE, why did we take McCoy? David? Why did we add Revis? We don't have the QB so why did we draft Martin? Williams? Why do we even have any players?
The Bucs need to add a pass rusher in free agency so they can have the luxury of drafting Watkins. He would make a world of difference for this offense.

I don't think we should add playmakers to the offense with our top pick when we have bigger needs on our OL and we are in need of a pass rusher. I don't see Watkins as bringing in enough value for us at that position.
I agree with the need for an explosive playmaking slot reciever but this is a deep draft at the position and there will be better value at other critical positions either on the OL/DL or TE in the 1st round. I think we can fill the slot reciever need in the 2nd and a guy I love is Brandin Cooks from Oregon State

Bigger needs? We were the worst offense in the league. We were 8th best defense in DVOA

OT is pretty deep in this draft. Jake Mathews will probably go before 7, but the Bucs should be able to get a very good Left Tackle later especially if they are willing to trade back into the late 1st. There should be some good pass rushers available in Free Agency as well. (Jared Allen would be my choice)
I think we should get a DE in FA... Think of the Simeon rice pickup. Our defense is in a very similar place.
Other than Manziel, Bridgewater, or Clowney... Watkins is the guy that I want.

That's the best way to go and I'm hoping who ever the coach is will do just that.
My ideal scenario would be Clowney or Manziel in the first and Odell Beckham in the second.

A top 10 pick is supposed to yield a stud for ten years. Needs are irrelevant. Talent trumps all.
Either WR or TE should be our first pick. A key here is running an offensive system that would actually USE them. I want a running attack in our game plan too, but let's NOT be married to it when it isn't working. Use the quick pass to loosen up the D.
People should stop listing Demps as a playmaker. Until he actually makes a play, at least.

FINALLY someone agrees with me. Demps has done jack s**t for this team so there's nothing to look forward to. Not to mention he's not really "all-in" on football.
I kinda agree that it is meaningless to draft a playmaker WR if your OL cant get the job done. OL is the most important ingredient to a potent offense. At the same time, I am a bit skeptical of drafting a OT that early when OG is our biggest need x2. Which complicates everything, because ideally, we would be drafting in the 15-20 range to get the top dominant OG available. OG would be a reach at no. 7. As far as needs, OG and TE trump everything else. Of course we need a DE but we need to do that in free agency. The offense needs critical attention right now, and the depth of the suckitude on offense dictates that we draft offense big time this year. TE OG being the top two needs. Of course if Bortles is available at no.7 that should be an easy pick.We cant keep investing draft picks on the DL and waiting for them to develop. Thank God Dominik is gone with his 20 year plan we were on.
