My ideal scenario would be Clowney or Manziel in the first and Odell Beckham in the second.
I would totally be on board with this, if possible. Of course, I'd havenno problem with Watkins in the 1st, from the standpoint that he adds a humongous addition to the returnga me.
I kinda agree that it is meaningless to draft a playmaker WR if your OL cant get the job done. OL is the most important ingredient to a potent offense. At the same time, I am a bit skeptical of drafting a OT that early when OG is our biggest need x2. Which complicates everything, because ideally, we would be drafting in the 15-20 range to get the top dominant OG available. OG would be a reach at no. 7. As far as needs, OG and TE trump everything else. Of course we need a DE but we need to do that in free agency. The offense needs critical attention right now, and the depth of the suckitude on offense dictates that we draft offense big time this year. TE OG being the top two needs. Of course if Bortles is available at no.7 that should be an easy pick.We cant keep investing draft picks on the DL and waiting for them to develop. Thank God Dominik is gone with his 20 year plan we were on.
The Oline was actually fine in pass protection this year so they impact of a new explosive receiver wont be negated by our Oline. The Oline was horrible for run blocking. We had three games where our Oline looked dominant in run blocking and those three games our whole team ended up looking good as a result. We need to fix it soon but I dont know it can be done in one year. We need soon need to replace Joseph, Penn, and Nicks. Also I think MDs plan was fine, his main goal early on was to build a great Dline but it just didnt work out with the picks. drafting Dline early and often is how its done but we just got screwed with having terrible return on investment where other teams had great return. Over half of the best defenders in the league right now are all pretty young players that were drafted for the hopes of one day doing what they are now. Us Bucs only got 1 good one out of all of the ones we picked though. I personally loved it when we drafted both McCoy and Price, and Clayborn and Bowers (well actually I was bummed about CLayborn over Jordan)
I have to respectfully disagree that the OL was sufficient this year in pass pro. Both guard positions were terribly inadequate in all phases. You referenced the few good games the OL had, which were against the Falcons, and Dolphins, two teams wi issues upfront.IMO if we are going to compete with the Carolinas of the NFL, we are going to need to do major work on the interior of the OL this offseason. Dont be fooled because the OL pushed around a bunch of players who suck, we got owned by the other 14 teams we played up front. That is not a recipe for success IMO.
PLEASSSSEEEEEEEEEE draft sammy watkins if Barr/Clowney isnt (Mack doesn't impress me from what I saw) available take Watkins people think he would be just a slot receiver, he is good enough to be a future #1 and would immediately have him over Mike WIll on the depth chart, for the people who wanted Tavon Austin that went #8 last year, Watkins is easily a bigger and better receiver that can also line up anywhere on the fieldGuy reminds me of of Torry Holt as a receiver and Josh Gordon after the catch, fast strong but with more wiggle
I think we can grab Brandin Cooks in the 2nd round... love that kid.We won't have a repeat Biletnikoff Award winner in 2014.This year's recipient, Oregon State receiver Brandin Cooks, will forego his senior season to enter the NFL Draft. Which is probably the right move for Cooks considering it's hard to imagine him having a better season in 2014.Cooks caught 128 passes for 1,730 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2013. He also rushed for 217 yards and another two touchdowns, which are the kind of numbers you need to put up if you're going to win such a major award while playing for a 7-6 team on the west coast.Cooks is listed at 5-foot-10, so he'll likely be seen as a slot receiver on the NFL level, but he's still projected to be a first or second round draft pick. As players like Wes Welker have proven in recent years, you don't have to be tall to be a successful receiver on the NFL level, and Cooks' work returning kicks and punts on special teams will only add to his value.
I'd be excited for Clowney, Manziel, or Watkins with the #7 pick. Good chance we pick up 1 of these 3.
This guy led the NCAA in receiving yards, yards per game, and was 2nd in receptions. Beast.
Game is about to start.
sorry i started a thread featuring Sammy.. ill write here instead Muscle
what happened to sam? i keep turning back and fourth between the Orange bowl and the Knicks VS Rockets game.. i didn't see Watkins out there

Boyd ran 49 yards for a TD, so now its Ohio State's ball
Watkins one carry for 5 yards
Also, not sure why Vic Beasley doesn't get more talk as a DE for us
