Very good? Jesus, o... What would great look like?
Larry Braxton .......
I've said it over and over. Forget need. Just look at talent. I'm more confident Watkins can be a stud for the next ten years than any other player.
Agreed FRG
I honestly think Sammy Watkins could be the missing piece for our offense. Pick up Jared Allen or a similar DE in FA, let our guys develop behind him, and draft Watkins in the 1st round. I think I just had a wet dream
Watkins is almost a must now @ 7. VJax is getting older and Mike Williams is not good enough to be a #1. Watkins could play slot Wr and move to #1 once VJax is cut or retires.
Its hard to say anything negative about the kid, and I would take him at 7. Yet, without watching many of his games how is his route running. I saw he led the NCAA with yards after the catch, which could mean that most of those yards are from screens and throws to the flats.
With Jared Allen a strong possibility in FA, hard to argue against Watkins. I want an all-purpose TE to go with Wright too, but the 2nd round should work for that. I know the O'line needs a lot of work, but better game-planning can hide a lot of O'line flaws. We should be able to get decent O'linemen in the 4th and 5th rounds...
Watkins should be the pick , unless a team offers a good deal to trade back and recoup our 3rd rounder.
Agree about Watkins guys. He is a stud and worth 7 overall. He should be there too when we pick.
Glad to see people coming around to this :D

I think he's both one of the safest picks in the draft while also being one of the players with the highest ceilings

...of all things using the term safest with any WR pick is crazy. No position crashes and burns like these guys. The funny thing is in the Evans thread we will be unstoppable because our WRs are tall, here we will be unstoppable because he is fast. Are WRs just "easier" toLike than other spots because it seems every year a large crowd is always about drafting the latest hotness at WR.

I agree with just about everything you said.I just don't see Sammy Watkins failing in the NFL barring an injury. Fierce competitor + tremendous athlete. I also don't get the love for Evans for our team. Idk what to tell you lolAnd of course playmakers like WR and RB and the occasional TE are easier to like. They're more fun to watch ;)
Yeah, the two TD catches he had last night displayed very good receiving skills. This guys isn't just big, fast, and quick. Obviously his route running could improve, but he has really good ball skills.
