Barr has only played defense for two years. He doesn't even know what he is doing yet and they still couldnt block him. His athleticism and upside is through the roof.I also like him above Mack because he has a much better frame to add weight. Mack is maxed out.
Donald then a coin flip between Barr or Mack.
Mack all day.
Mack all day.
two months ago, I would have said that about Barr. Now Mack is growing on me.
Not to put allot of stock in this....but as we all sift through highlight reels on you tube I'm sure you will notice that some players will have a 2 minute reel comprised of the same 5 plays shown from 5 different angles. Ealy is that guy.Conversely when I watch Trent Murphy I see 8 minutes of new play after new play after new play.
I rank Murphy above Ealy
I like him allot. Might not be the quick twitch speed edge rusher, but just a big, blue collar guy with some nastiness.
Mack all day.

I think its pretty clear that, as you watch more footage of both of them, everyone will prefer Mack.
Mack only played Ohio State and then a never ending parade of cupcakes , so really it's hard to evaluate how he is going to handle NFL caliber Tackles.Mack is more polished than Barr , of course , because Barr was a RB until his junior year. Barr's rawness scares some off , and that's fine . Projecting down the line though , Barr has the better upside and the better frame to put on weight if he needs to play end in our scheme. So, both are gambles , it's just a matter of preference on which way you'd rather gamble really. The safest pick is simply to go Ealy . He's the prototype End for our system . Problem is , although I like him , I don't see the explosiveness of a top 10 pick when I watch him. He's a reach at #7 .
Bucs don't need a samback that bad. Out of those three Ealy makes the most sense. And I am not a fan. At all.
At no.7 no no and no thanks to those three players. Two tweeners and Ealy. I really hope we don't reach for a need when so many more talented players on offense will be available. Which is what we need to build. QB, WR, TE, OG, OG, We have 5 picks and if played right we can draft those positions very well. Hopefully we draft some OL sometime soon. You can't solve the problem by trying the exact same thing that caused this. ......neglect in the draft by Dominik and his team. Get one speed rusher to compliment what we already have. That and maybe a vet nickel corner is all we need. Abraham was awesome for the Cardinals last year. A move like that is all it would take to transform our defense literally overnight into a contender instead of a pretender.
Ealy is borderline undraftable.
Barr has a good chance of being the best of these 3, but he doesnt fit our scheme...so we can pretty much move on from the thought of him. I take Mack over Ealy at 7 every day.
I really hope we don't spend #7 on any of those 3. Some combination of Clowney, Matthews, Robinson, and Watkins will be there when we pick and all of them would be better picks for us.

Mack also terrorized UGA last season. Its still not high level talent week in and out, but at least he has tape against big boys and tape that shows him as a destructive force. Barr is much more of a project and one that fits better in a 3-4 anyway. Ealy is far from the safest pick as I dont even see him being a 1st round talent. He wasnt even the best DE on his own team.
Ealy is borderline undraftable.
I guess the "borderline" of being undraftable is rounds 1-3, since thats where he's going.
How does Mack fit any better in a 4-3 than Barr ??If anything hes a worse fit in my eyes because he's already completely rocked up and can't add any more weight.
