Going off memory I'm pretty sure we beat them on both lines of scrimmage but Baker just pissed the game away. A long would be Mike Evans TD turned into an interception and he missed some long throws.
There was 1 to Evans and 2 to Palmer.
Both were clearly FIRST OR SECOND READS (to the Byron/Baker Leg Humpers), and he absolutely whiffed on all of them.
Keep in mind, these were the ones for layup TD's.
I'm not even factoring the other explosives.
the offense put up 6 points. Blame has got to go to the quarterback. I don’t believe many baker bros would defend him in the lions game. That being said, doesn’t mean our coordinator called a good game either. I don’t remember the game but yeah hard to say baker played good in any of the Bucs losses sans Houston game. (Eagles -11 points, Detroit - 6, falcons - 13, saints 13, buffalo -18, 49ers -14?, colts -20). Not going to win many games scoring less than 20 points. Blame has to go to quarterback and offensive coordinator - depending on if it’s 2022 or 2023; or maybe both 🤔
Looking at the Lions/Rams film, it looks like early on Detroit sold out on trying to shut down Kyren.
Lots of C1 and C0.

Oh, really?
I don’t remember the game
Of course....
it was a few months ago, I don’t remember other than offense must have been shit. Let’s see if we can find some common ground. How about a recent shit performance. The saints game? Surely we would say Canales and baker called and played worse games as opposed to say recent eagles game? Would you agree or was Canales just as flawless and just shit Brady execution…errr I mean baker
It was Canales!!
it was Mayfield!
(it was all of them. Palmer & Moore and Otton helped the Bucs by over performing. Evans didn’t help the Bucs as much as usual because he underperformed ( by dropping a TD). Mayfield helped the Bucs by not turning over the ball and performing at a record level. Hall and Vea helped the Bucs by stopping the rush push. McCollum helped the Bucs by also playing safety but he also hurt the Bucs with two bad penalties)
Team game. Canales has modified his offense and play calling during the season. By simple logic that means something were not working
this thread is about the upcoming lions game
info and thoughts about the upcoming game shared most of the day, but then thepost below STARTS the inevitable descent into a Baker fight thread lol
happens over and over in these threads

mayfield is both a blessing and a curse lol
When we were leading up to the Eagles game was there a JC post about the defenses inability to stop them first game?
maybe?
Maybe not?
I bet there were several “Mayfield killed us” posts
lmao
the guy is a freaking lightning rod
like Winston
hmmm…..

Lots of C1 and C0.
Yep lots of cover 1 and 0, do I think they do the same I don’t think so, they’re gonna dare baker to throw and disguise much better due to how successful we were to eagles c1

First, you were pretty confident that the OC didn't call a good game, but now you don't remember as it was a few months ago.
Weird...
Let’s see if we can find some common ground. How about a recent shit performance. The saints game?
Sure. Would love to find some common ground.
I'm talking about a game that we played THIS SEASON against the team we're playing THIS WEEKEND.
You are talking about...checks notes...the Saints.
Weird...

Deflection from a dipshit.
Weird...

Haven't watched a lot of their games (only against the Rams and against us).
But, I agree with you.
I expect lots of disguised C3 and Quarters. Challenging us to beat them on the ground.
But, I wouldn't be surprised if they run a good mix of C1 considering how bad Baker played against them a few months ago.
Canales will need to be on his A-game with the game plan.
Uhm what does C0 and C1, C3, Quarters mean???? Pardon my ignorance. I likes sacks, interceptions, tackles for a loss etc. On offense, who doesn’t like a trick play, long bomb, short pass with Gwin lvl blasting, I love tough physical runs with yards after contact as much as I love a hand off and a lightning dash to the ez ezily without being touched. I love a TD pass with the clock running out. In fact one of the most memorable passes in my football memory was a pass From Josh Freeman to Cadillac Williams with 10 seconds left to play on Oct 24th 2010. That was my first game, what I mean is that was the first football game I had ever attended in person (not counting attending high school fb games on Friday nights while looking for tail). Not only was it my first game Eva, but that play happened like right in front of me just cuz of where we were seated. I won’t ever forget that. I also won’t ever forget that when the team was standing in a group in between plays, Freeman always stood by himself and away from his team, unfortunately that may have been his biggest weakness, he only cared about himself. Anyway, that took a tangent. Yeah, teach me basics bishes so I can better participate in these discussions.
Canales is never to blame. He was a perfect coordinator all season, including the Lions game.
But there's zero doubt Baker was awful that game and left points on the table.
But we GOTTA make sure to absolve Canales of anything and everything because he was PERFECT this year.
