Anyway, it's not like we desperately need him to be elite right off the bat. We can allow him to grow into the offense over the course of the season, considering all the talent we have at the position right now.
If Godwin lands on the PUP, then we'll need him to be pretty damn good out of the gate.
And, luckily for us, he will be.
When the WR is fully healthy? Ooh boy.
WR1 - Evans
WR2 - Godwin
WR3 - Egbuka
WR4 - JMac
That's just downright nasty.
Yeah, that's a great group of receivers right there.
But I disagree that we'll need Egbuka to be elite right out of the gate if Godwin goes on the PUP early. We'll still have Evans, JMac, and Otton, plus Tez might be good enough to absorb a handful of targets and actually be efficient about it, plus Bucky and White out of the backfield/out of the slot or whatever in the pony formation, iirc. I mean, obviously the offense would be significantly better if Egbuka could go full tilt right off the bat, but i don't think it's a do-or-die type situation.

Yep. Jmac and Baker have real on the field, nfl game, chemistry. Can't wait to see them pick up where they left off.
