Game before the playoffs the Charger RB had a big day. Only one This is him talking about the playoff game:
“I think we have one more game with the Broncos coming up where it’s like, ‘Alright, let’s dominate the run game again.’ Then I think that opens up the playbook for us a lot more and makes us a little bit more of a dynamic offense when we are going into the first round of the playoffs,” Ekeler added.
LOL
They ran for 67 yards WITH THE LEAD
Good stat examples guys. Thanks for sharing. There really is no arguing that either side of the ball was any good Monday night. The whole team was unprepared and out coached. The NFL is the professional league that coaches make the biggest difference. You can have studs all over, but if you don’t know what to do with them it doesn’t matter.
This is 100% why, despite solid talent on this team, we couldn't regularly score until we went into the hurry up offense. Teams knew what we were running the majority of the time.
Yup.
And, a good portion of this fan base could see it.
So, what would you think opposing defensive staffs witnessed?
Bruce’s offense was dated, but Byron actually ran a more dumb downed, archaic version of it.
Mix that elementary offensive scheme, with an OC who can’t mentally wrap his head around the modern landscape of NFL offenses (analytics, etc) and sprinkle in a cocky, smug, arrogant stubborn attitude and this is what you get.
An absolute abortion of a final season regarding our SB window.

This is Leftwich . . scratch that . . this is ARIAN who "would've been 10-2" with this team:
"“I’ve actually heard of guys calling plays [using analytics] and I don’t know how that works,” Arians said. “I mean, run to the right, run a sweep, throw the ball. What the hell? I don’t need a computer tell me that. If you do, you’re not a coach.
“If you gotta have a computer tell you to go for it on 4th-and-2, you’re getting your ass kicked. You ain’t going to make it. The computer said, ‘Go for it because you’re likely to win the game.’ No, you’re going to get your ass kicked.”
“I don’t have a math brain, you know, so for me [analytics] comes into play; dude is 6-5, 240, and he’s smart and he can throw, he’s probably going to be a good quarterback. Because I’ve see that. They’re named Peyton. They’re named Tom. So if that’s analytics, yeah shit, I’ll use it.'”

It works when you have 3 studs at wideout and a good option at TE. Even during the Super Bowl run, teams regularly knew what we were doing, they just couldn't stop it. With lesser, but still good, talent it was a lot harder to have success. I also wonder what the deal was with the red zone offense. Every play we ran seemed to have everyone covered, with some exceptions. But every time we went to the hurry up offense, that Brady was calling the routes on, we moved the ball. Amazing. But sure, it wasn't BL's fault the offense sucked, now was it? (where did my eyeballs roll off to?)
Don't know why some people have a hard time with this.
The world is full of nitwits.
