Why didnt we snag him off the PS?
Did Licht try and get anyone from the PS of other teams?
Seems like a no brainer with how bad our LB are
Germaine Pratt was cut earlier in the year too. He’s been pretty good for Indy, especially in coverage.
But Bowles is happy with the defensive savior.

Maybe because of Bowles and his whacky system, much more likely they role with LVD and Dennis? Just a guess.
LVD and Dennis play downhill. Granted Kendricks can play downhill too.
Bowles defensive system wants both his mo and mike LBs crashing A gaps.
I think that this defensive scheme doesn't utilize enough zone robbers/fire zone bliztes in the middle of the field like it should or Bowles used to but went away from it. Bowles for some reason like fire zone blitzes in the flats and does work sometimes for teams (eg Rams this season) most often you want the robbers and fire zone blitzes mid field.
Ok but I'm watching week after week of Dennis and David in zone getting touched.
Why did Licht sit on his hands?
Also Clowney has been good for Dallas.
I just don't get it

Nothing I have seen from the Bucs suggests they pick up random, incrementally outside players very often.
I recall last season or the season before there was an LB elevated from the pS but it took weeks to get him on the field with Bowles suggesting he was learning the system? Could be wrong but those would be my guess.

We got a maybe be more flexible than that. Opportunity to pick up good players isn't always there.

Could be true but it's still stupid as fuck
Why did Licht sit on his hands?
I don’t think the HC/DC wanted any other LB’s. He wanted JPP.
Licht doesn't get a pass just because Bowles allegedly likes Dennis
What would be the point of signing a player if the HC/DC would not play him?
Play him on obvious passing downs? IDK if Bowles wouldn't actually use him

Honest question: do you think the front office doesn’t look and evaluate these guys during the season?
Licht isn’t perfect. But that is his, and his assistants, job during the season. But they aren’t going to sign guys unless the coaching staff approves.
When things go well it's Licht. When things go bad it's Lovie, Koetter, Bowles.
When things go well it's Licht.
Pretty sure that last season, nobody was giving Licht credit.
They were CORRECTLY giving it to Liam Coen.
