goes on to say he says this almost every year.
imho, this is the deepest. The flashes McMillan showed last year and is now #4? Wow.
ive heard rumors about Palmer being traded(Pittsburgh interested) would make sense. Cut candidate imho.
top 3 Godwin ab and Evans could be one of the best ever. All 3 in their prime physically. All 3 potential HOF. Say what you will about ab off the field he had several dominant years on Pittsburgh.
this unit will be fun af to watch. Baker going in the 70s in fantasy(qb7) could be a steal
It'll be interesting to see how committed we are to the run with this many weapons in the passing game +White/Bucky are great receiving threats

I’ll put money on McMillan being the receiver with the most yards this year. Baker loves him. He had one of the best catches in the league last season. Makes me laugh when people say #1,#2, #3 - when it’s clear we have 3 maybe 4 WR that can get the job done.

no doubt. Most formations won’t feature more than 3 WR though. They rotate a lot(especially mike) so they’ll all see plenty of snaps & opportunities.

He'll finish 3rd at best.
I think this room is better than the AB room, he wasn't the same, We just needed to keep his ego happy by gassing him up everytime we talked about him. Its hard to be the #3 guy when you were the #1 guy
Emeka is 1k slot receiver out of the gate, Mcmillan reminds me of tyler lockett with less wiggle. Godwin is on the mend, and Mike is Mike

This “current room” isn’t remotely close to being better than the “AB room”.

That’s rare for rookie WR’s regardless. It’s even more rare when they aren’t the #1. That would be a surprise.

No way at this point is it better than the 2020,2021 rooms with AB.
shocked if McMillan doesn’t finish 4th in yards. Only so many balls to go around. What’s McMillans future this team particular if we resign Evans?

Are you high??? Like do you even watch the Bucs play football. Baker loves JMac. He had 4 less TDs than Evans last season with half of the snaps. You’d have to not have watched this kid mature to make some asinine statement like this. He’s going to be a Buc for a long time. So in spite of him clearly banging your girl, you better get used to seeing him in the pewter and red…

Clearly, you don’t.
Otherwise, you’d know that Evans had double the targets. Godwin had more and he only played less than half a season.
Cade had significantly more targets.
Hell, Sterling Shepard had less than half the starts JMAC had and received nearly identical target numbers.

i am high on life baby!
JMac looked good last year...but my point is more that he will be buried on the depth chart and wont get the snaps
so let's review.
1. Would you agree that the Bucs will likely have their first round pick as a higher and investment to develop than a third round pick? So as i have not seen the opening depth chart, i would surmise that all things equal and everyone healthy, Emeka is ahead of Jalen to start the season.
2. Chris Godwin won't be rushed back so in this situation, maybe Jalen gets a few games where he is seeing snaps, but when all are healthy, he is #4 on the depth chart
3. Going into the Baltimore game last year (where both Evans and Godwin were healthy), McMillan had just 7 targets to that point with 3 catches for 59 yards and 1 TD. That's a third of the season....6 games.
Jalen made the most of his time as he finished the year strong but that was because he was on the field. Keep in mind he was basically our #3 guy those first 6 games. With Evans and Godwin presumably healthy, and him buried on the depth chart, it will be interesting to see how they rotate these guys.
i dont even think he matches last year's numbers unfortunately but not because he is not talented but more so a victim of the depth chart. The truth will play out this year, the reasoning behind the Emeka pick. Is it (1) saying Goodbye to Evans after this year (2) Godwin just isn't ready and might miss half the season or (3) maybe Jalen was struggling in certain facets of the game that they dont see him as a long term option.
we should know by the end of September....and i am praying it's not #1

Touchdowns. That is the goal of every offensive possession. Sorry that gets lost in your statistical data but, Baker likes the dopamine associated with crossing the goal line. JMac does that with frequency relative to the number of catches he has. So....in year fucking two, were not talking about the four year vet, JMac is likely to improve on his numbers from last year regardless of the room getting more crowded.

I'd agree with all of this if Jalen hadn't shown he is worthy of the field. It's not about who they have more money invested in it's who is going to make plays. We are not in development mode as a franchise. We are in win now. Building on his TD/catch ratio from last year is how Grizz will approach this. I think the future belongs to both of these kids but I don't see any situation where Jmac isn't a huge part of this offense in 2025. It wasn't some "he looked good a few games" type thing. He stepped up in a huge way when called upon. Lots of team currency in that.
