Evans on Tez and Emeke

Yeah I think him getting some gimmies in the slot will be nice.

To avoid having Evans in the same desperate last game situation as 2024 they are going to give him more slot time EARLY and have Egbuka in Evans' traditional role. Flipping them back and forth a bunch, a I bet

That would be amazing.  I think getting Evans his early is a great idea.  Take the storyline away from the playoff run.  Emeka ROTY.

Really?  I thought I read that Trey was doing well in practice?

Tez with a nice punt return and he could have had more but looks like he went down to avoid injury? Which is both good and bad... Would love to see him get more reps with Trask.

Is Tez going to make it? 

STs, return specialists are often determined from the final pre season game because that is where the bottom of the roster is decided upon.

Tez definitely is right now 1a or 1b while Palmer is 1a or 1b but there is no way to know 100% what the coaches are thinking right now.

K. Johnson in theory should be in the mix but he is out with injury too.

Meanwhile Egbuka is a sleeping giant ready to be unleashed.

It looked like he tried to get cute on the bounce. 

No biggie. I'm sure he got an ear full on the sidelines. 

Tez was trying to do too much.  A rookie thinking they are superman trying to catch an errant bounce as he is heading backwards.  Not even D. Hester can field a punt like that. 

Make the catches rook and then worry about making the first guy miss. 

With McMillan now out half the season we will need Tez to step up. We already know the Egbuka hype.

Nice to see Tez play well. Hopefully that secured a spot with McMillan hurt 

I was 50/50 with Tez but I think he sticks.  Grizzard obvioiusly trusts him and Bowles likes having guys that can be change ups to throw defenses off.  Tez Johnson should stick and maybe they give K. Johnson a second chance.

Palmer is probably going on PS or his time is over.
