So, many fans think we need a QB, or at least more than just Glennon. Obviously the new regime could pluck one from the draft. However, a free agent QB is another obvious option. Per Rotoworld.com, here is a listing of potential FA QB's. Are any of them attractive to you? If so, why and what would they provide? (just trying to cause a discussion. if it goes well, I might try this in other positions) - ranking is not mine.1. Michael Vick2. Josh McCown3. Josh Freeman4. Shaun Hill5. Chad Henne6. Tarvaris Jackson7. Colt McCoy8. Matt Flynn9. Kellen Clemens10. Luke McCown11. Derek Anderson12. David Garrard13. Dan Orlovsky14. Rex Grossman15. Curtis Painter16. Tim Tebow17. Jimmy Clausen18. Charlie Whitehurst19. Brady Quinn20. Rusty Smith
Not a single guy on that list is taking a team to the Throne to be Crowned. Man, the Bucs need Manziel!
Mine didn't make the list, so maybe he's no longer a free agent (though I didn't see him re-sign). I'd like Matt Cassel because he has starting experience, is athletic and allows all options with regards to Glennon and the draft.
Matt Cassell is a steaming heap. Jesus no. Again, Bucs NEED to draft a QB. Period. Have to mine for gems. We don't need any more mediocrity.
I like Cassel because they can trade Glennon if they decide to and he can push Glennon if they keep him. Also, if they draft Manziel, Cassel can replace him after he starts out 0-3 with 10 interceptions!
Are you being serious right now?Wow. Matt Cassell is a turd. I want to see one more poster come out an defend this suckhole of a QB. Matt Cassell? Seriously?Glennon has an upside. Cassell is a backside.
Duemig actually threw out the idea of bringing back his boy Freeman...and he was SERIOUS. smh
Per Roto:Matt Cassel can void the final year of his Vikings contract in February.Cassel's 2014 salary is scheduled at $3.15 million, but he has a player option that would allow Cassel to test free agency. Cassel probably wouldn't get much more than that on the market, and Minnesota gives him his best chance to start games in 2014. We suspect he'll return, though that's far from certain.
With JF signing with Freeman's agent there's no way the Bucs would take him IMHO
No to Matt Cassel and none of those QB's get me going. Have to draft one.
You know, that Freeman kid is only like 25.
Duemig actually threw out the idea of bringing back his boy Freeman...and he was SERIOUS. smh
:o
Freeman is done in Tampa Bay. He WILL get another shot somewhere else though. He is the kind of guy that will end up in New England and watch a professional QB.
Sign Freeman!!!......Just to fire him again
Rusty Smith = Championship
