Id take peanut over samuels easily. Tillman Imo could be a perfect slot corner for this defense. Samuel has played on the outside his entire career basically and he's lost a step or two. Peanut despite the injury was still playing at a high level.
A shifty slot WR will run Tillman off the field.
Shifty would be nice, but an Ike Hilliard ghost would work fine too. I miss all those damn first downs.

Doubt it. Tillman is better suited outside, but he can hang inside and he is certainly better than Samuel. The big difference in price. Tillman will likely cost 2x as much.

Going against a team's #3 or #4 WR I'll take a guy like Asante Samuel all day. He gets his hand on the ball a lot and is a great at jumping routes. He wouldn't be the perfect answer but for the cheap I'll take him.My first choice would be Alteraun Verner but that will be pricey.
Stephen Nicolas is a player I wouldn't mind having on my team. If he's getting cut up out of 3 mil, I'd give him 2 for 5. He's the type of guy who fills out a roster very nicely if he ends up being a backup/special teamer.
smh with this entire thread.

thank you
I get that one man's trash is another man's treasure, but why the heck would we go through the trash of one of the worst defenses in the league? Boggles the mind.

That was us just 2 years ago. You can't find anyone on that D who is worth keeping? David? McCoy? It's a team sport. 5 out of 11 guys suck, and they all suck. doesn't mean those 6 can't still be useful. We've seen Asante play, and we know he's good. He was beter 5 years ago, but we're not looking to replace Revis or Banks. He's a good fit for vet leadership and experience, as well as taking on 3rd WRs.
Of course it's a team sport. But it's funny how three teams with pass D issues have let him walk. He's a non-tackling corner who jumps routes, which means he's boom or bust (like DeAngelo Hall). We have enough veteran leaders back there (and while he's a vet - not sure about the leader part).
