As much as I want Lovie Smith out right now, firing Lovie Smith will almost certainly mean that Dirk Koetter and the offensive staff will get canned as well (no serious HC prospect would ever come to Tampa if it meant they couldn't bring their own staff in).I haven't researched it thoroughly, but it seems like one of the keys to developing a young QB is stability -- at the HC position and the OC position. You hear, consistently, that lots of QBs get derailed early in their careers because they're constantly learning new systems / playbooks instead of doing other things to get better in the offseason.I'm concerned that the team is setting Jameis up to fail if they launch Lovie in Year 1 -- and that's going to set the team back even further if he can't reach his potential.
