You can't teach an old dog new tricks . Changing Penn to guard at this point would be a huge failure .....and sweeps would be out of the question , can you imagine his fat slow ass trying to pull ?? LOL
Drafting Watkins to round out our receiving corps would be the smart play here.I'm still holding out hope that Lovie can coach up Clayborn and Bowers and whoever our FA DE acquisition will be.
Agree, I think the DE unit needs a veteran more than anything. Too much youngry at that position.

Too much suck. Young, old doesn't matter. Be wary of the way guys like Allen or Ware could just call off the table. Pass rushers have very rapid declines into irrelevance.
I would call this pretty much a nightmare scenario.

I'd still take an aging Peppers or Jared Allen over Te'O or Bowers.

That Browns owner Haslem, is a bit of a loose cannon, so I expect him to be trading around in the first round like a wildman. It could get interesting. Best case scenario, he wants someone at #7, and gives the Bucs a kings ransom.

I don't know AJ. The Browns have the no.4 and no.26 overall. I don't know why they would be trading with us for the no.7 unless they want two guys in the top 7.
Don't be surprised to see CLE trade into #2 to grab JFF after TB goes #1. Then OAK grabs the best of the rest. Also would not be shocked to see STL draft a QB, despite all the rumblings.
I can't believe we'd draft an edge rusher that's only marginally faster than our DT.Sorry, when someone says "edge rush" I think Simeon Rice, not Kyle Moore.Ealy = Moore = Gholston. If we use free-agency for anything, it would be corner back. Finding an edge rusher for a 4-3 under, in free-ageny, is like finding your left tackle there. You don't.I can see us getting an adequate CB in free-agency - I cannot see getting the edge rush we need to take some heat off GMAC - from free-agency castoffs, or by drafting a Kyle Moore/William Gholston type. Maybe I'm wrong and our cap space will allow us to benefit from another teams overspending. Maybe we'll get our RDE there...because if we can't get Clowney, the answer isn't in this season's draft.

How'd we get Simeon Rice? How'd the Bills get Mario Williams?John Abraham?Julius Peppers?Do you even know what you're talking about?
Wow, I would be livid with selection. Watkins and Matthews on the board there? You gotta take one of them and to me, the obvious answer is Watkins because he will affect the W/L column wayy more than Matthews would. I mean, just how much better is Matthews over Penn anyway? Penn has his bad fair share of games but he isn't a headache and flag every play like we had in Kenyatta Walker.

Do you see one of those - in their prime - available? GREAT! When does he get here?Still think Jared Allen is Jared Allen? Please tell me you're not one of those thinking he's who your talking about? If so, don't bother replying. And the mythical creatures you think are plentiful - do you think they'll show up just 'cause Lovie likes em?How long did the Bills need a Mario Williams...before they got Mario?See the subtle difference? Lots of folks look available, especially right now, but the good ones have a funny way of not being there when it's your turn to pick. You do understand that, right? Sorry if it rocks your world, but it doesn't happen as often as you think it happens. Especially foe the positions of greater need. The scarcity at THIS position is also compounded because the skill-set that we need - is also shared by 3-4 teams looking for an OLB...you do understand that, right? It's not as easy as you believe it to be.It's kinda why the only guy in this years draft that fits what we need - won't be there when we pick.Perhaps you could spend some time reflecting on your learnings before you type a reply.
Greg Hardy and Michael Bennett are the best two options in free agency. Other than that Allen is about the only player who could fit the role but his play has declined already. He would be a one year stop gap.

Jared Allen is spent, and while I couldn't figure out why we let Bennett get away...I'd be just as dubious if Seattle lets him get away...I see Melton more like how we use William Gholston...you summed it up perfectly....Wonder though - maybe bring in Tilman, trade Revis to get access to Clowney...?
