Last night Mayfield went to his primary read A LOT because thats what he is supposed to do. That is the offense at its core. And Mayfield often hit his primary reads with DARTS that had them running open for more. As Canales has said many times Mayfield is a rhythm/timing passer primarily. That was on full display last night.
As he has always done, he also went through his progressions and correctly read the defense in front of him. He also missed receivers who were open and misread the defense. THAT IS FOOTBALL.
He also had his receivers DROP great passes, including a deep pass he was supposed to be unable to throw (lol) and he also saw the O-LINE in front of him get absolutely blown up (one time Stinnie ended up almost behind him), but also make some good plays that gave him time to go through his progressions.
If Otton was GRONK and his 3rd receiver was AB, instead of Palmer . . . we probably score two or three more touchdowns. They probably sit Mayfield in the 4th QTR and Trask comes into illuminate the great mystery!

There were a ton of BS calls. I mean LVD personal foul....that was a disgrace of a call, JTS was not far behind. But if not for those penalties the Stinkin Iggles wouldnt have been able to do anything at all. At least for their sake they are able to go into the offseason saying that they,- at least didnt get shut out- they scored 9 meaningless points, and even THAT is better than going into the offseason completely empty handed. I honestly wish they would have put up a better fight, for their sakes, shame is an ugly feeling, and I saw shame in each and everyone of the Iggles eyes players and staff alike, you can still see those eyes in the game replay highlights... I dont wish that feeling on anyone for long. Just long enough to learn and bounce back from it....9 points better due for them.

I know one guy that won’t turn on a guy after just one game, a person like that I would call a simpleton. Considering after the game he had last night, if if if we lose and Baker has a bad game and we lose, and anyone that turns on him is simply too impulsive in life and in general. That’s like fair weather fans, like Luke warm water, just spit it out.
Anyhoo, regardless of what happens against the Lions, of one thing I am certain, Baker and the Bucs will be even better next year as they are this year. We even have the depth to support it. JL did that didn’t he? The Glazers brought that didn’t they??? G’job boys!!!!
