Almost as laughable as tearfully begging for a truce, only to start the usual trolling 3 minutes after said post (hence why I didn't waste my time responding to that disingenuous and dishonest sack of shit).
Poor, pathetic bastard can’t help himself.
Wut? I put 90% of it on Lefty last year. He was so freaking bad.
Brady was also "checked OUT" in his final year. Too much off the field drama, supposed rift with BA, the Dolphins and Sean Payton thing, the retirement then unretirement, then Divorce. Not even the GOAT can carry all THAT and yet fans STILL expect a SB under those conditions. Its really impossible to separate the personal and professional hats that we wear, they mix and mesh and we act accordingly. Its simple, yet unfortunate that TB12 went out like that. I wished we had beaten the Rams, then he may have retired with another SB ring and walked off into the sunset like the GOAT should have. Anyhoo, he's gone, time for the Kitties. BRING IT!!!!
By the way, my comment about Brady are basic reality.
Michael Jordan (like Brady) was legendary for his TRAINING. Multiple players CREDIT Jordan’s work ethics for directly contributing to their success — JUST LIKE WINFIELD DID THIS WEEK WITH BRADY
Jordan also average something like 30 pts a game
How were his last year or two in the NBA both relative to his scoring average AND leadership?
Does anyone thing some assistant coach was telling Jordan what to do? lol
I didn’t want to believe it last year. All of my non Bucs fan friends were saying Father Time caught up with Brady; I quickly blamed leftwich because the play calling was indeed awful.
no gronk, Marpet, Jensen and AB certainly didn’t help things
question I have is why would leftwich throw out the playbook of 2020 and 2021 when so successful?
question I have is why would leftwich throw out the playbook of 2020 and 2021 when so successful?
I dont think he threw out the playbooks as much as he didnt have the fortitude to stick with running especially not with:
1) the team struggling to run and
2) Brady at the helm IN HIS LAST CHANCE YEAR and so the offense became COMPLETELY ONE DIMENSIONAL and
3) a few early wins where Brady magic overcame our poor running
Here are some FACTS to back up that assertion
1. Brady retires and there are REPORTS of tension with Arians
2. Brady announces he is unexpectedly coming back on March 13th
3. Arians "retires" on March 30th BUT HIS STAFF mostly stays
4. During Brady's tenure the Bucs are 62% pass in 2020, 66 percent pass in 2021 and 68% pass in 2022 so Brady (understandably) pre-disposed ot passing .. he is the GIAT
5. Brady cannot convince Gronk to come back and we lose center of line
7. We win an UGLY game aganist Dallas by RUNNING, but then cant run aganist the Siants and Bardy brings us back passing with classic 4th QTR come alive
8. Bucs struggle from there EXCEPT for Falcons win, which is a 50+ throw game for Brady
9. In that run of losses, after the Ravens loss (I think), Hardod Godwin comes out swinging lol:
We have it in there,” Goodwin continued. “We have a lot of runs. It’s just whether we get to them or not. It’s how the play-caller is feeling. It’s my favorite play by far because we’ve have a lot of success with it. It just depends on whether Byron is feeling like calling it that day or not. I can’t control that.”
10. Godwin makes that comment responding to a question from Stroud about why the offense is not RUNNING a play called 22/23 that is a STAPLE OF ARIANS RUN OFFENSE. It is . . IMPORTANTLY . . and early game/first down INSIDE RUN PLAY. Earty is important because the run is FOUNDATIONAL . Here's Godwin:
"“It’s in there. I can’t control what the play-caller calls,” Goodwin told Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. “But it’s in there every week. It’s basically our base play. You start with that to create everything you do in the run game, from play-action passes to what we’re doing running-wise.”
MY POINT HAS BEEN . . . there is no way the Bucs go down in the last year with Brady BY RUNNING THE BALL TOO MUCH lol.
HOW IS THAT CONTROVERSIAL?
Thats why I have said Brady RETIRES (or plays somewhere else) if in 2022 Arians retires BEFORE him and Bowles is HC and he names Canales as OC . . . Canales is a PETE CARROLL DISCIPLE who "grew up" around an offense that CONTROLLED Russell Wilson tot h point of a FIGHT (lol). This year we are something like 58% pass, versus 68%
With NO ARIANS and a former QB, Arians lackey in Leftwich (who was himself TERRIBLE and unable to solve the riddle of why things were not working) OF COURSE BRADY IS GOING TO WIN OUT (thats why Godwin was complaining). OF COURSE the Bucs are going to go down with Brady THROWING . . NO ONE IS GOING TO OVERRIDE his way to win, especially with the Bucs struggling to run and the offense IMPROVING in 2021 WITH MORE PASSING. No way even if it means a LIMITED EVANS.
He's the GOAT. He's there to THROW to our receivers. Playoff Lenny is NOT the GOAT lmao
That DYSFUNCTION is not on Brady as much as its on a DYSFUNCTIONAL TEAM DYNAMIC created by his unexpected return. It make sense that he would want to go down throwing BUT THATS WHY THERE IS USUALLY A HEAD COACH . . .Arians saw it coming, so he bailed. Gronk saw it, so he did not come back. So only LEFTY (whos isa QB himself) and is DEFINITELY not going to be the OC who saw the Bucs lose because "he held Brady back." Come on . . lool
And Bowles is as LAME DUCK in 2022 as you can be. Its not even HIS COACHES and he saw Brady throws LIGHTS OUT 40 plus a game and people STILL . . . STILL . . say he ended Brady's career. That was posted here just within the last few weeks LOL
By the way. . . what happened to Harold Godwin? Where is he NOW? Who was he speaking out FOR last year? Why did Stroud ask him?
I am a Brady fan, for goodness sake.
But, as i posted just a few days ago, sports are MORE interesting TO ME (not everyone) because of the HUMAN DYNAMIC.
Antonio Brown was LEGENDARY for his WORK ETHIC and PRACTICE and he played a big part in the Brady SB success.
Antonio Brown is ALSO LEGENDARY (now) for being an unstable, nut bag.
He was BOTH a great thing for the Bucs and then a bad thing, at the end. A NET POSITIVE yes because we won as SB, but it would be a LIE to say he was not one of the negative forces on those teams.
Its the same LIE to suggest Brady didnt not have a substantial IMPACT on the outcome of 2022 . . . BOTH DIRECTIONS . . GOOD and BAD.
He's even having an impact in 2023 lol and its BOTH GOOD and BAD.
Maybe a bit of very basic logic
Everyone seems to agree that Leftwich was an INCOMPETENT OC, he was a Bruce Arians internal promotion who lost out to Bowles to be the HC choice in Tampa
How was a GUY with that little leverage able to . . . SABOTAGE Brady's last chance (as a FAVORITE, no less) to win the Super Bowl and why, if thats what he was doing (lol), did he TRY TO DO IT BY PASSING 68% of the time, more than any prior Brady-led Bucs team?
Doesn't it make more (common) SENSE that the over the top passing offense WAS BRADY desperately trying to win it all . . one last time? Canales has taken heat this year for sticking with the run . . ON A TEAM WITH NO EXPECTATIONS AND MAYFIELD lol

as with most things, the answers somewhere in the middle
1. Leftwich was likely aided significantly by Bruce Arians. Who knew how often he would be involved in the play calling/script in 2020 and 2021. Leftwich definitely benefited from having an offense full of HOF players and Bruce. That's why he was never seriously considered for a head coaching job sans rooney role and why he's unemployed today. My question was more tongue in cheek as in execution plays a huge part. Was he that stupid to throw away what worked in 2020 and 2021 (which i was accusing him of) or was the offensive line just not good enough for the plays to develop.
2. Losing Gronk, AB, Jensen and Marpet wasn't going to help the offense
3. Brady was distracted and father time caught up with him a bit. He was not the same guy he was in 2021. If you dont believe that, ask yourself why he wouldn't have gone for ring #8 with SF. Would have been a guarantee if he was still MVP caliber with those weapons. And dont tell me SF wasn't interested after that NFC champ game against the Iggles. Brady knew he was cooked
The football gods blessed us with Brady on March 16, 2020. It was unbelievable run. Those first 2 years were a thing of beauty and something we haven't experienced before. Even in our hey day of 97-02, we were not being talked about like we were in those 2 years, expecting to win every game. I wear my Brady jersey every game. (a dork i know)
LAST YEAR, however, was not enjoyable. i mean, was anyone even hyped up for the Dallas playoff game? It was kind of like just going through the motions.
THIS YEAR, a bit different. Yes, we had the pitchforks out at 4-7 but now going 6-1 and in the divisional round. This is exciting bucs football late in January. What more can you ask for from a cap ridden team? No matter what happens today, a big thank you to Todd, Canales, Baker and the whole team for making this season successful.
Go Bucs!
