I've come around on Garoppolo. I was reading some Blaine Gabbert comparisons as far as not being bale to handle pressure, and it scared be away for a bit.....but I've watched 6 games and I don't see the Gabbert comparison at all. He simply doesn't get that much pressure so it's hard to say how he deals with it, but the reason he isn't pressured in on him, not his O-line. He makes fast reads and has a really fast delivery. So he usually gets rid of the ball before anyone can get to him.Like I said, his mind is fast. You can see him going through his progressions and it's lighting fast. If there is anything elite about him, it's his delivery. It's Aaron Rodgers like in quickness. He has the arm to make any throw. His accurate is excellent. He's a four year starter that improved every season. He has some mobility. He really seems like a great QB prospect to me. I've moved him up to my #1 2nd round prospect.....but to be honest, I'm not sure he makes it our 2nd round pick. We'll see. Here is a link to six of his games. Every snap. http://draftbreakdown.com/players/jimmy-garoppolo/
The things you like about him now, are the things that the Garoppolo fans already know about him. Did you judge him before without even watching him?
Yeah, I'm fine with sticking with Glennon, it just doesn't seem like it's in the cards with what the current regime wants. I think Carr is the second best QB in this draft and I don't believe that a guy with his athletic ability isn't mobile enough, but he definitely didn't use that athleticism in college to run very much. Of course, when you pass for 5000+ yards and 50TDs in a quick pass offense against less than top caliber defenses, there probably wasn't as much opportunity to scramble as other guys have.I'm surprised that people don't think Garoppolo will get out of the first round. I guess that means they don't believe the latest rumors that some of the top QBs will slide.

I watched what I could and that was very limited. It's not like I hated him or anything. I think the only negative thing I have ever said about the guy is that he has tiny hands. I was just never on the bandwagon because I wasn't able to watch enough of him to really form a strong opinion. Now that I have watched 6 full games....I can say wit certainty that I like him a lot.
I think in the end, JG will have a better career than Carr, MettenBerger, Murray, Manziel and Bortles... yeah, I said it.;)

Who knows. I wouldn't be shocked if Jimmy G was one of the first three QBs off the board. Carr could be too. All it takes is one team to be in love with a guy.

oh yea lol the tiny hands thing. I remember that. How do you like Teddy now a days? I still think both are better passers than Bortles.
Man it's hard to say who is better for me. They all have great potential but could be complete busts. All I know is I like Bortles, Manziel, and Garoppolo early.....and about 5 or 6 other guys if we take a QB later in the draft.
No one is worried about garrapolos hands?
No one is worried about garrapolos hands?
He threw for 5000+ yards 53 TDs and only 9 ints with those hands in one season. Why on earth would I be worried about his hands? lol
In very bad weather 75% of the time...Hand are a non-issue.

Agreed, teams go crazy over QBs in the 1st recently. See: Blaine Gabbert and Brandan Weeden
I worried about how Garapplo folds under pressure and how he never played anyone.
G-Rop is my guy followed by Bridgewater and Carr. If we could trade down and pick him up late in the first I'd be ecstatic. However, I'm betting Cleveland will grab him with their second 1st rounder.
