Where is he projected to go in the draft.  Pretty intriguing prospect IMHO.  Could provide the competition Glennon needs or become the "guy" we have been looking for.

Not sure where he is projected to go, but from the few videos I've of him, he looked good and fairly accurate.Sean Mannion is a player that I don't know why no one is talking about.  At one point this season, he led the nation in passing yards.  He appeared to be pretty accurate and made just about every kind of throw.  I wish someone would explain what his problem is.

Mannion didn't come out. went back for his Senior season. Oregon State QBs are a product of Mike Riley's offensive system. they always put up big yards but aren't NFL type players

Copy...thanks for the info.

Great arm but it seemed to take him a week to get rid of the ball in the games I saw him in.

Didn't see that in the games/highlights I saw.  Thanks for the info

Well if the scouts don't think he is starter material then what is the point of drafting him here?  The ideal scenario for this team is to upgrade the starter and have a decent backup in Glennon.

I've not seen anyone say slow to get rid of the ball. He actually according to the report has a very compact delivery and quick release. His physical tools all seem like people really like them. He has better size than Bridge and Flutie II. He is more technically proficient than Bortles and Carr. Really, if he played even at Boise State he might be a guy being talked about at the top of R1. He didn't, he played EIU and that level of competition makes it really hard to know too much about him and evaluate what he can do.He is a senior and I am a bit surprised the Senior Bowl didn't invite him although with McCArron insanely not going there is talk that he might be a late invite. I would think the scouts would love to see him vs the top line opposition.

I know the numbers on post-first rounder QBs but I sort of like a lot of these later round guys. Maybe none are game ready for 2014, but reasonable development guys.

Which I have no problem with if his upside is that of an NFL starter.  Whether he is or not I have no idea.  I'm just not down with having a roster of nothing but backup or bottom tier starting QBs.  What's the point in that?

I don't disagree.

I’ve seen people talk about quick release vs long release but never really noticed as a casual observer. This guy is the quickest thrower I’ve ever seen.

This kid is amazing with his release wow lol, call me definitely intrigued and would love to grab this kid in rounds two and up, Jeremiah on NFLN said he is not getting out of the third round and can very well go in the second, he is tearing it up right now and can't wait to see him at the Senior Bowl.

That is a pretty bold statement!

It's ridiculous how quick his throwing motion is.

Garoppolo is tearing it up right now. I wanna see how well he plays in the senior bowl too but man he's definitely looking like a R2 prospect.

And he's so confident too when he rips it, no hesitation, def happy we interviewed him and showing interest already, would much rather grab him in round 2 and go BPA than get Carr at number 7.
