So, on Justin Pawlowski's show this morning, he mentioned McCoy helping Pierce off the ground when the Bucs were down 28-0. JP said it just doesn't look good when you do something like that. JP then mentioned the NFL's "Christian Brotherhood" as if that is something the nicer/Christian players would do.And we all know that free agents came to the Bucs because of Lovie's Christian faith. But I digress. Here is how McCoy reacted on Twitter this morning after JP's comments. I'm assuming this is directed at JP...I condensed his two tweets into one...Gerald McCoy @Geraldini93I can handle anger and disrespect towards us as players and coaches in "FOOTBALL". Very understandable!! But when you start questioning my morals and me as a man you're taking it too far. That's bigger than sports. Complete disrespect!!* * * * *Most of McCoy's Twitter followers sent him words of encouragement but a few ripped into him and the Bucs. And IMO, JP didn't question his morals. For me, I hate seeing players help other players off the ground after they just tackled them. My man problem with it is that there is a play clock. Why help the opponent get up quicker so they can get back to the huddle? Maybe letting them get up on their own can make cause a delay of game penalty at some point? And also, save the handshakes, helping them up and respect for after the game. Just my opinion.
