Grading out a +4.2 on the day, just slightly outdone by Drew Brees +4.5 according to PFF. The stats ended up much different for many reasons but when the plays are looked at and it's determined if Mike made the correct decisions, he did a majority of the time. Why am I posting this? Well with a new HC, OC, GM, etc... coming in, it's a very good time for Mike to have his best game of the year in what may have been the determining factor if he gets another chance or not.GO GLENNON!
Freeman had higher stats than brees a couple of times.Just saying man.
Huh? Who's talking about stats? Mike's good game is due to his decision making. I actually specifically not talking about stats as they were much different.
PFF is a joke. They put out trash.

No they don't. Unlike fans, PFF can look at play without the coloring of bias or emotion...just cold hard math. A lot of people say they put out trash because their emotional or preconceived view points don't often line up with PFF analysis of certain players ie Joseph has sucked for years and PFF has reflected this yet many fans always thought that he was a top guard....only now that it's soooo obvious that it can no longer be ignored do people realize.
Hard math makes a lot of people look good. Especially under an uber controlling offense. The playcalling limits mistakes. In our offense, just about anyone would've looked ok statistically, but never would they have high numbers.Glennon is an ok qb, but he's not 100% starter material like you want him to be.
Best game? Bucs lost 42-17. Is this an old post?

Personally, I think we should wait and see what he looks like with a competent coaching staff.
His best game was the Arlanta game.
Is it that hard to understand that this isn't looking at stats but at his decision making? Brees threw for 4 and ran for 1. Glendon obviously didn't outplay him.

PFF isn't basing it off stats. They are basing it off decision making and factors such as that. So they are basing it off of the very thing you just said.

Yes he can fight for the starter's job. Nothing should be handed to him and why would he want it that way anyway.Seems like many Glennon supporters want the job to be handed to him when the new staff comes in.
I'm not definitely sold on Glennon, but he managed the game well. When he had a very open guy deep, he made a perfect throw for a touchdown.Receivers weren't getting open. The running game was mediocre. Glennon and Wright hooked up all day, but Wright isn't a game changer. He's just a really good receiving weapon that should hopefully continue to mature.Yeah, Glennon had a good game throwing to mainly 3rd and 4th stringers with simplified playcalling. Good for him.
Mike's grade has nothing to do with stats or wins losses. His grade, and it is his best grade of the year, is based on him making the right decision and good throws. If the only guy open is a 4 yard out and Glennon throws it, it's a positive play. Its a completely objective look at his play. Screen pass to completed to Sproles who takes it for 30 yards is not a huge play by Brees, it's a huge play by sproles. PFF tries to take that type of stuff into account and it's not garbage, it's a hell of a lot better than looking at passer ratings....
Glennon is the check down machine. He'd thrive in Gruden's old offense.Brian Griese ball.
