He also faced one of the toughest schedules in the NFL.
Very tough schedule, scrap heap receiving core, bad coaching and bad gameplanning doesn't matter. He should be able to overcome that! LOL. By the way, Tom Brady has had one his worst years in terms of YPA because his receiving core has been hurt all year. Not sure why the same situation is an excuse for one and not the other.
For a rookie in general, he was well above average. Stats show that. For a rookie with a very suspect passing offensive system, he was exceptional. For a rookiie with the above AND very limited skills at WR, he was amazing. For a rookie with the above AND a highly erratic run game (top 2 RBs injured), he was Houdini! Absolutely need to evaluate him in a better offensive system, with a better receiver core and a healthy Doug Martin... I judge QBs in their SECOND year. In general, if they IMPROVE and play very well, thus avoiding the sophomore slump, the odds are very much in their favor to have a successful career, barring injury of course.
cute poll
34 to 12 he shouldn't be the unquestioned starter.
26 to 21 he should be the starter... with better backup.
