Goedeke is getting killed by 3rd string rushers right now. Nice guy, and weight room warrior, but not a very good football player.
LT falls in our lap and we pass.
There was ZERO need to move Wirfs.
Goedeke experiment is a failure so far.
Move Feiler or Leverett to RT. Turn the page.
@donkey_hunter if you’re talking about Broderick Jones, he doesn’t look much better. I’ll take Kancey.

Nope.
Was referring to Anton Harrison.
Yes Harrison should have been the pick.
But OL should be Wirfs, Feiler, Hainsey, Leverett, Mauch.

Agreed.
Goedeke just isn't that guy and you can stick a fork in Jensen.
For fuck's sake, we have an elite All-Pro franchise RT and still manage to fuck this up.
For the short term, taking a tackle in the first would have been a good idea, but I have a feeling Kancey will have us forget about that in the long term.

I rather see a configuration of Wirfs, Stinnie, Hainsey, Leverett and Feiler with Mauch as the primary backup OL.
But realistically the Bucs should have done this:
Put Leverett at LT, Fieler at LG, Hainsey at Center, Stinnie at RG and then Wirfs at RT.
With our current HC they were not going to take an o-lineman, especially after last years defensive performance.
the GM is appropriately trying to give the current HC what he thinks he needs to succeed

this is one reason bad teams find it tough to breakout from being bad, the turnover in coaching keeps them chasing different plans
Dungy had 2 key HOFers that turned into more to turn things around and still didn’t win it all. (Hear, hear! Sam Wyche!)
Licht has historically used Day 2 to pick up his OL and followed that again this year. Smith, Marpet, Cappa, Hainsey, Goedeke and now Mauch. Of course Wirfs was the exception. With our current HC they were not going to take an o-lineman, especially after last years defensive performance.

And, this is why Bowles should've been shown the door along with Lefty.
