As an assistant coaching linebackers per Stroud
I like the move from a PR standpoint, I just worry about his coaching experience. I guess if he's a position coach, though, it's more about the ins and outs of being a LB which he knows plenty about.
Wow.. I love it

He was a LBer coach for the Bears before.

He was the LB coach for the Bears in 2007 under Lovie, so he has coaching experience.

Yes, I know, but he only did it for one year and then resigned. I know he said it had to do with health issues in his family, but I just worry that his heart isn't in it. I want him to do well, I'm just being cautiously optimistic I suppose.
I have no idea if he's going to be any good. After all, there has to be a reason he dropped from the NFL all the way down to coaching high school (after his family issues were resolved). However, just having him back on the team is exciting for sure.
Not sure yet if he is LB coach or assistant LB coach. Seeing conflicting reports
Aman, I know his son plays college ball in Berkley, might be why Hardy coached high school football in the bay area.

That is why - supposedly he coached him and then has been looking to get back into the NFL.
Good sign. Brings leadership and swagger. And the youngsters can pop in his old gametape and go "Wow! I want THAT!"

They should definitely listen to him.
welcome back Mr. Nickerson
Former Bucs always welcome
Wow! I am thrilled with this hire! Those of us that can remember back when the Bucs started to turn things from the days of the Yucs into playoff contenders know that it started with this man. He brought great play but also an attitude and this defense just got better and nastier. Love that the gang is getting back together. A lot more swagger just walked into the building now that Hardware is back in Tampa. Great PR move and the LBs will learn a great deal also.
