Clowney's latest ticket elicits reaction Will another speeding ticket affect Clowney’s draft status? By Brent Sobleski USA Today Jadeveon Clowney was caught speeding again. It’s the second time this month. This time it wasn’t as excessive as the last. Clowney was cited for going 84 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone. It’s an improvement after being caught driving 110 miles per hour in a 70-mph zone. It may be Clowney’s second infraction in a matter of weeks, but it’s still unlikely to have an effect on his NFL draft stock. Although, the second ticket did bring a wide range of reactions. Some don’t believe it’s an issue.Josh Norris @JoshNorris Only comment(s) I have with Clowney/speeding tickets: 1) I speed. 2) How many tickets are other college athletes getting? None of us know.2:11 PM - 26 Dec 2013 Will Brinson ? @WillBrinson Maybe when Jadeveon Clowney is allowed to make money for doing his job he can buy a radar detector.2:14 PM - 26 Dec 2013 Others are more concerned with the repetitive behavior. Cian Fahey @Cianaf First speeding ticket: He's an idiot but I can look past it. Second speeding ticket: He's an idiot who doesn't learn. Bad sign #Clowney1:06 PM - 26 Dec 2013 Matt Connolly @MattConnollySHJ Clowney isn't just speeding, he's driving recklessly. Not a good look to get stopped twice in a month for going 29 or more over the SL.2:50 PM - 26 Dec 2013 Aaron Brenner ? @Aaron_Brenner I've been pretty defensive of Clowney's pro prospects thru this season. Two speeding tickets in a month? Bigger knucklehead than we thought.12:05 PM - 26 Dec 2013 While this could be a developing track record of poor decisions, Clowney is still a rare commodity for the NFL ranks. He’s 6-6 and 274 pounds with elite burst and athleticism off the edge to get to opposing quarterbacks. Teams will do their homework on Clowney’s play on the field and his personality off of it. Either they’ll come away comfortable with him as a person or they won’t. Teams may even pass on Clowney, but he won’t slide far in the draft. He’s far too talented. And talent eventually trumps trepidation. Clowney has the type of natural ability to be drafted No. 1 overall. It’s unlikely he’ll slide much farther unless other concerns are discovered prior to May’s draft. As always, South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier made sure he got in the the last word regarding the situation.Josh Kendall @JoshatTheState Steve Spurrier: Jadeveon Clowney "needs to go to driving school, doesn't he?"1:22 PM - 26 Dec 2013
Who gives a crap how many speeding tickets he has? He is going to be dominant and nobody is going to care if he gets 500 tickets.
Lol if teams actually take speeding tickets that seriously. Most of us all have at least 1.
Most of us have one, maybe. Most of us have two for at least 30 mph over in a month.....no. It isn't speeding as much as the one tweet says about judgement an decision making. You have to wonder if his decision making will get better with a couple of million dollars in his pocket if you are an NFL team. There is really nothing about this kids character and mental make up that I like at this point. He seems like a self absorbed knucklehead.
This is awesome. Character concerns are the only way he may fall to us.

Speeding is a gateway crime!LOL, just kidding. Wow, a 21 year old kid who likes to drive to fast, i'm shocked. In my mind whether or not its a problem isn't affected by this one ticket. His draft status is a collection of all things as a whole. Speeding tickets, reports from coaches, reports from scouts, practice film, game film and interviews. If you love the guy the tickets don't mean anything. If you think he's a locker room problem then they do mean something. I'm really not sure what I think about the kid. We've had worse on this team I believe.
You have to wonder if Jadeveon Clowney simply isn't a bright person.
55mph zone smacks of freeway. Doing 80 on the highway is no biggie to me. Get on the freeway and do 65-70 as you are allowed on some stretches and see how many cars go screaming past. Now if he was weaving in and out of traffic like a retard like some do, that is different and we have no information on that.Personally I get the feeling he is a complete self indulgent knucklehead, but that is based on other factors and has nothing to do with this. I hope we don't draft him.

All about decision-making off the field. It could translate to impacting his on-field performance. Who cares how many drinks Josh Freeman has off the field, yadda, yadda, yadda.....
I have Zero speeding tickets; well, I had a driving too slow coming out of a school parking lot ticket, but I got that one . . . I don't know what you want to call it.And it doesn't matter, we're drafting a Qb.
Man is he gonna be a beast for the dirty birds.
Would the Bucs even draft him if he made it to us? Seems lately that Dominik is dedicated to bringing in leaders with great work ethic. Clowney just seems like a arrogant punk right now to me.
110 MPH? Shows little concern for the safety of others :
Dummynik is getting fired , WC

that's pretty good. I've only had one in 30 years of driving. Doing 61 in a 55 in Louisiana. Boss Hoggs pulled me over.
