No point bringing back Gaines as an inside NT/3tech if the Bucs want to be bigger on the inside. Between Simmons and Jayson Jones there is no point to having Gaines anymore as he isn't good enough as a 3 tech and the Bucs already have bigger NT on contracts. But Gaines could be a better option replacing Hall's spot if he lingers on the market which would allow Roberts to be a primary backup up and down the line.
ESPN super insider Adam Schefter reported on ESPN TV this afternoon that he expects “clarity” on Mike Evans’ situation before 3 p.m. He did not hint that Evans, a pending free agent and Buccaneers legend, would be moving to a new team
