Thanks for the write-up, 3SK.These may make you go 'duh...', but having had to sit through the Buc offenses of these last few years, what I'm hoping for from our new 2014 Offense is at minimum:1. The ability to cross train and use Receivers at interchangeable positions. Like Ike and Torry H in the past.2. Not consigning any one position to the ashes. In short, i hope we keep defenses guessing every week by implementing a layered and flexible offense.
nice job 3SK
HE'S TOTALLY DOING IT! LIKE, FOR REAL! THAT MAN JUST CAN'T PUT DOWN THE NEEDLE!
Great stuff 3sk. It will be interesting to see Tedford's offense adapted to the NFL. Is there an NFL offense you'd compare this offense to?
Thanks, JC. It's a spread with some west coast fundamentals, consistent with what New Orleans, New England, and Green Bay have been building. I'm not saying our offense is going to produce like those offenses, I may be a bit more pessimistic. It's all about the guy behind the center, and that's the key with Tedford's offense. The Quarterback is going to define the offense's success or failure, even more-so than in other schemes. Saw some H-back looks to, which kept reminding me of Gibbs, but I see a little bit of that around college, so I'm not so sure it won't disappear in the pros.
I appreciate the effort
Great post. I think we definitely need more receivers, and a varied set of receivers.Tim Wright can fill an H-back role if we needed it.I actually think Lorig is a capable receiver out of the backfield and will be back.
Awesome info, thanks for your efforts 3 SK.
Best read so far this year. Nice breakdown.
Very well written, thanks, 3rd String.
Under Lovie Smith the Bears have a history of trading down.
Great stuff as always 3SK. Thanks for taking the time.
Very nice 3SK- thanks for what was a huge effort I'm sure. The oline is what scares me the most going into next year. Regardless of what style of offense you run if there is no time for the QB and no holes for the RB you can't be successful. I really like going into next year with Glennon. His mobility is limited but I think his brain makes up for that. Your info here-and everything else I have seen about Tedford- says his offense requires a smart QB and that is Glennon's game completely.
Hey, I have a couple of questions please.1. Did Tedford have an OC at Cal or did he game plan and call his own offense?2. Did he appear to make in-game adjustments or was he stubborn with his game plan and stuck with schemes that were not working?3. Did he give his game plan time to shake out before potentially abandoning it and chucking the ball in panic mode? Thanks!

I hope history repeats itself, we could use a few more draft picks.

My concern is leaving the tackles naked, which does happen from time to time with Tedford's scheme, at least in college. I hope he uses his tight ends a little more to help out at least for a chip in protection if nothing else.
