"The fact that he is dropping on draft boards seems like a smokescreen to me."He started out projected to be a third or fourth pick and shot up into the top ten. "Dropping" seems a rather odd description of that.
Read the sentence right before the one you just quoted. I was talking about Bridgewater .
Who says there aren't any sure bets in this draft? ClowneyBridgewaterMathewsThose are all pretty good bets right there. I am completely dumbfounded that a team picking no.1 and needs a QB isn't all over Bridgewater. But Clowney is a once in a decade player. I could see him being the pick. What a shock it would be if STL picked Bridgewater at no.2 overall.

Agree on Clowney and Mathews. But Bridgewater is far from being a sure thing. A lot of teams are worried about him being too skinny for the NFL. Every time I see him, I am takin aback by his slight frame.
If the Texans want to sell tickets, select JFF. If they want to build the team back up, one of the other QB's would be a better selection IMO.Its a similar situation to Tebow. That Jags owner could of signed him and sold a boatload of tickets. But he was more interested in building the team for the future.
