Greetings, all! I am a longtime, long-suffering Buc fan in Georgia. I proudly wore my bright orange Buccaneers windbreaker to school during the 0-26 stretch, and proudly enjoyed the Super Bowl with my father (a season-ticket holder for years). While the past few years have been maddening, I soldier on as a fan. My question involves a topic which is hotly debated here on the Red Board - the shelf-life of Vincent Jackson. While I agree with most of you that he has lost a step (or three) and may be nearing the end, I am not ready to kick him to the curb just yet. With bye week upcoming, what about a move to "move" TE? He can present an even greater mismatch with his height and quickness on a LB down the seam, rather than on a nickel back as we are doing now, and can be a serviceable blocker down the field for other receivers. Additionally, it would allow us to use Russell Shepard more often, as some here have suggested, or even allow us to bring back some youngsters to insert into the rotation (e.g. Jeremy Butler, Andre Davis, etc.). With the disappointment of the ASJ situation, this seems to me to be a no-brainer. Your thoughts?
