oh, a fairweather fan is going to resume posting on a football message board and is telling people about it, no wonder you're already blocked
:)Lovie Smith was one of the finest coaches this organization ever had in its glory days. Players loved playing for him. He was a guy who knew when to put a shoe up your butt and when to pat you on the back. He was also a guy players rallied around and frankly the coaches he calls close friends would likely elevate the play of this team to new heights. I have been clamoring for Coaching of talent for years and if we can get Lovie, Raheem, Frazier, Tedford, and if we were lucky enough to steal away Marinelli as a D Coordinator from Dallas we would be in a position to take this team to another level. Rod was the best at coaching a D line we ever had and in the opinion of many he was the reason Sapp played at such a high level. Frankly Sapp himself said he was the best coach he ever had. For me....that says it. I believe bringing in an offensive coordinator is key that can tutor a QB. The guy he is packaged with is the man for that job having coached up the likes of Aaron Rodgers and others. He is exceptional. I believe in Lovie and think he has been preparing for this and knows the areas he messed up in Chicago. I think Devin Hester would come here at a discount and play for him and I also believe if Rod were here we could attract incredible talent in free agency. Players know these are great coaches. We had a Bugs Bunny staff with the exception of Byner at RB coach and maybe Wannstedt as special teams coordinator last year. The players were not disciplined. Yelling does not work when you don't know who is in charge and frankly I think nobody knew who was in charge last year. I saw huddles of coaches last year and that means there was no organization or delegation. Decisions are gonna be made about Revis and whether he is worth it in the scheme. If they player Cover 3, he stays if he gets back to his old self. He was a figment of himself this past year. He was smart but not very athletic and frankly unsure and slow at times. Our safeties played out of position and Banks was used poorly and not coached well. Leonard Johnson is Toast. He won't be making the squad as a slot corner as he is a liability in coverage unless he plays mostly special teams. He can't be relied upon to cover anyone. Too inconsistent. In short, the lights are and someone is home. One Buc Place just got a soul and a leader. SCOUT IS A HAPPY MAN.
Um, hooray? ::)
In terms of what type of coach needed he fits the bill. It's such an obvious hire that even the national media can see it. Adam Schefter spoke on going from a player's coach, which resulted in them needing discipline, then going to a disciplinarian who was strict to the point of disrespect, to getting a guy who is right down the middle. Nobody on this team will call him by his first name(yo Rah) even if he said "call me Lovie" players would probably respond "okay coach".
