I love all of our rbs for different reasons. Go back and look at Sean Tucker prior to his injury at Syracuse. He was, at the time, one of the best running backs in football. He had 1500 yards for the orangemen in 2021. Anyone downplaying his ability just doesn't understand football. He'll have his time this season for sure.
Who is downplaying him?
Almost everyone likes Tucker as a great RB3 and depth and sees his talent.
But he's not better than White and management agrees.
this ^^
IF Tucker was a better ALL-AROUND back than White the Bucs would have him playing over White. It's that simple. The Bucs would benefit from Tucker being BETTER than White in all the requirements for RB, so when he proves he is . . .he plays.

Talk to me in 6 months. Let's see where management is with Tucker at that point...
A lot of runs for white was basic get the downs going type of run like power, oz, Bucky early week 1-6 had specialized wing t runs off of trap/sweeps/reverses/jet.
White isn't terrible he just had less creative opportunities early going for running the ball. If a defense knows what you're doing/ seen something similar they are able to react quicker. Bucky had good opportunities he took adv of with less often seen runs.
Its necessary to have a back that can take those early run punishments, while keeping a slasher like Bucky fresh
Dont get me wrong though, Bucky is more of my kind of back angry "1 guy wont bring me down"

He did prove it. Duval proceeded to fuck the season by calling the jet sweep to McMillan after it went for -6 the week before. We were a couple Sean Tucker carries away from going into Philly and likely beating them.
You found a rare rushing stat White isn't completely terrible at and you tried to use it as an opportunity to dunk on Sean Tucker, without realizing Tucker led the league in the stat. I suggest you quit while you're behind before I post every meaningful RB stat I can find and it makes White look like the distant third runner he is.
He can't lead the league in anything when you don't have enough carries to qualify.
Why does this continue to baffle you? There's a reason they have a minimum... Stats are meaningless in tiny quantities.
As far as White, I didn't find a rare stat. I found a stat to conveys what many Bucs fans know: he's hard to tackle, he creates plays, and he scores touchdowns with limited reps.
You were warned.

JC5100 math
RB3 > RB2 (initially RB1) because OC who led record-setting top 5 offense is actually incompetent . .
seems legit
Scotty Miller legit, one might sy

Me: Tucker stats are meaningless because the same size is too small and half of it came in one game against the Saints that White didn't play.
You: here's some more stats that wouldn't qualify for anything because of sample size.
Durrrrr
The other thing we don't talk about is pass pro. White is exponentially better at blocking than both Bucky and Tucker. Like... A complete other level.
That's why White plays over Tucker. If Bucky gets hurt then you might see Tucker get some opportunities... Hopefully he doesn't fumble on the goal line again.
White runs like Bell, and that hasn't served him well with YPC. He's also getting garbage runs at the end of blowout games against a staked line (for example the Giants game).
We have context and law of large numbers for Bucky and White.
Tucker is 100% hypothetical. I really like Tucker but I'm not gonna cream in my pants because of that one Saints game.

If you want to take a shot at Tucker for the fumble lets not ignore White opening the Falcons game with a lost fumble and closing out the Cowboys game with a lost fumble. I know that got swept under the rug in the constant blaming Bowles for those losses.
You are right about one thing. We have large numbers for White. 545 career carries with a pathetic 3.8 ypc.

So, essentially, you’re saying Tucker should be the starter/RB1.
JC, your love affair with back ups never creases to amaze me
Tucker had a great game against the Saints. He really did. He may be one of the best pure runners on the team; kudos to him.
that being said, i think we all agree that Bucky Irving is a sensation and deserving of the top spot over Tucker? Right? .....right? ...
so the debate comes down to White who doesnt have a future with this team. Yes, the dude will be on some garbage team next year, let me call it now...the Titans. As mid as he is as a runner, in my humble opinion, the dude is a game changer pass catcher out of the backfield and can block well. THIS....is why he gets the snaps over Tucker.
Tucker to me seems more one dimensional where Bucky and White can both run and catch. Yes, please extrapolate his saints performance and you will put him ahead of the likes of Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, Adrian Peterson and Ladanian Tomlinson alike.
The dude has a spot on the team this year and isn't fighting for a roster spot like he was last preseason; that's a due to him being a solid runner. Much credit
anyone in the NFL is a beast, and all good; it's just some are better than others and Tucker will be buried on depth chart again
only way he sees time is if injuries happen. If i had to bet, his numbers wont be as good as last year.
Here's what I know to be true. Grizz likes Sean Turner a ton. I suspect Sean will be used more/differently than he was with Liam. I don't think that necessarily equates to him being higher on the depth chart but, he will see more playing time in 2025. Maybe a lot more.
Here's what I know to be true. Grizz likes Sean Turner a ton.
Does he like him more than Tucker?
