Identity Crisis: Tampa Bay Dec 18, 2015This team has a lot to be proud of.Lovie Smith's grand design for what technically qualifies as a defense is not one of them. It's time to pull the plug on Lovie's plan and build on the team's actual strengths - Winston, Martin, and Evans. I'm tired of hearing, "Gerald McCoy is our best player. I'm tired of hearing, "LaVonte David, is the most underrated LB in football."These are the opinions of people trying to force a defensive identity on a team that doesn't come close to playing defense week in and week out.WE ARE AN OFFENSIVE TEAM, WE ARE NOT THE 2002 BUCS. The NFL rules have changed. The 2002 BUCS D would not fit given the current rules climate. It's time we become the 2016 Bucs: Offensive Powerhouse.Featured RB - CHECK3DRB - CHECKWR1- CHECKWR2 - shaky - VJ is old/injured, Murphy is injury prone, those other guys are unproven, but I think they would make great WR3s and 4s.TE - Shaky - give ASF one more year, but he seems to be incredibly athletic, always able to get hands on the ball, but never comes down with it.QB - Obvious Check.O-Line: No longer a weakness, but not dominant either. On D: we are just a mess. There's no reason to try to make this a strength. Let's draft guys who can catch picks and recover fumbles. Play opportunistic D with a lead and we have a contender.WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE AS A DEFENSIVE TEAM.#ENDRANTlink
