Didn't you guys hear the presser from our D-coordinator(I forgot his name)? He said Bowers had been chasing a knee problem all year; he swore Bowers will be a different player next year(assuming he doesn't get another injury).

What he really said: "You'll see a different player next year."

I hope so... Completely different.
Bowers needs to STFU. He couldn't rush the passer straight up. Until he can do that he has no business flapping his gums.
I disagree. He's a grown as man that can say what he wants....he just needs to back it up!!
I thought he was gone in the offseason, but with this new regime, they may want to get another look at him.
This is where we find out about the players who didn't get along with Schiano. If Marinelli can't coach you up then nobody ever will.
REALLY? Somebody is actually paying attention to Bowers? His 7 tackles and 1 sack in an entire season makes him worthy of WHAT?? A bus ticket back to Clemson...Pure bush league
I walked past Bowers in street clothes at Bucs trainign camp before last season. Dude was an out of shape fat slob. When you play DE and you treat your body like that and then your play on the field is as bad as it was...this dude just doesn't care.

wait what... 7 tackles. Are you for real?

I understand everyone's views on Bowers, but I'm hoping with a healthy knee, and some competent coaching that he will come to this offseason highly motivated in shape and ready to play. It would be nice to get something in return for our second round pick we used on him.

Yup 7 tackles... Obviously Schiano stopped him from being the beast that he is. His one sack gave him a concussion and was out for a game or two. He'll be brain dead by the time he gets double digit career sacks in the NFL.
Bowers can only be a found asset. At this point with his lack of production and a new regime, the Bucs probably don't expect anything from him, so if he produces great . . if not, no big deal. I doubt Lovie pins his hopes on Bowers like Dom would. That said, it is impossible to deny the possibility of a Schiano element to his lack of production this season. He produced with limited time the season before, was clearly in the dog house and at least seems to suggest there was some issue. Still, put up or shut up for the guy.

Get out of my head.

He was IMHO playing for a roster spot next camp. That won't change with Smith what will change is that Marinelli will give him the best coaching and scheme to make him be some sort of a player.
