De'Anthony Thomas has declared for the nfl draft. His size is obviously a drawback but, I think this kid has the Desean Jackson, Percy Harvin big play ability. Kick returner, punt returner, slot receiver, change of pace back. He is what we want that wannabe track star to be. At the combine I think his 3 cone drill will be more impressive than his 40 times. There's probably tons of 170 pound players in college who can run a 4.3 forty. What makes Thomas so special is his change of direction. He is the only player I've ever seen break down and shakea guy while still advancing forward fast enough to outrun pursuing defenders. That change of direction makes him a pretty damn good route runner as well. He's not just out there running by slow college players.

I like the idea of him, but not early. We dont have a 3rd and I doubt he lasts until our 4th. I would think we would see what we have in Demps before adding a similar piece.
at what round?. 1@#7? I would think about it in the 3rd if we had a 3rd. I would take Dri Archer over him. It just helps that "DAT" plays for the ducks. He is very fun to watch though.

we have a pretty darn good crop of RBs on this roster. Don't think an "Offensive Weapon" is what we need. How did that work out for Denard Robinson and the Jags?
Remember him running behind a defender in a college game and going left and right, the defender couldn't turn around to get an angle he was so quick. Reminded me of a time Barry did that to us in the 90s. He's a good returner, but I wouldn't take a player like this unless it was 5th or later. I realize he may get a higher grade, but seems more like a luxury pick to me more than anything.
