In the off season Lovie, Licht and the Glazers sold us on "We aren't rebuilding", that Lovie was studying film all season in his year "off", that Lovie learned from his experience and mistakes in Chicago. The Glazers sold us on bringing back the Tampa 2 to the Bay, to try to recapture old glory, by brining in yet another defense first head coach. That Lovie was gonna channel McCoy into another Sapp and David into the second coming of Derrick Brooks. Another offseason of splashy free agent signings, optimism and hope was on sports radio, heck even a few national NFL analyst picked the Bucs to get to the playoffs. Then reality set in, 1-5 heading into the bye. The big free agent signings, none of them living up to the huge contracts they were given, showing why their former teams were okay with those players leaving. The celebration by the fans and former Bucs greats that the Tampa 2 was back home, yeah, that's not going so well as the defense is 32nd in passing yards allowed (there is only 32 teams in the NFL) and 25th in rushing yards allowed. The offense is also ranked in the bowels of the NFL stat sheet as well. Wins? The team doesn't have many of those. But they have plenty of excuses. They range from patience to learn the defense, injuries, not enough talent or lamenting the loss of a offensive coordiantor who has never called plays at the Pro level before. So as a fan do you believe the excuses given by former players who believe in Lovie 100%?
