Glazers have swung and whiffed on 2 hires in a row with Raheem & Schiano. Then they missed out on letting go of a bad GM when they fired Raheem. I think the Glazers are the problem when it comes to hiring coaches but they are far from the proble when it comes to resources to put a good team on the field.
Don't forget they like to meddle. The hired Jagz because they liked ZBS instead of letting their HC pick his staff. Same with Bates, the DC they hired for Morris, who had a completely different defensive philosophy. Can't think of his name but the OL coach under Gruden. They hired him before they hired the HC. Now it appears Jon got along with him but still that ain't the way to do things. Or how about waiting until all the HC positions had been hired before deciding to fire Gruden. Or how about being the last team once again to hire a HC with Schiano. They are f ing morons.
Take 30 or so minutes to be informed: Here is a discussion with Chris Landry, who certainly is qualified to speak on NFL matters. Listen to that and tell me what the problem is.. http://www.620wdae.com/media/podcast-steve-duemig-podcast-steveduemig_01/chris-landry-with-tkras-122713-24127623/
Thanks for posting this.........good food for thought and I share many of his sentiments about the Bucs leadership situation and why things haven't amounted to long-term success. The caller on the podcast mentioned Polian as a possible overseer to the operations which I'm also in favor of...always liked his style and would feel much more comfortable with a man of his pedigree running the show over there.
Np. Pretty eye-opening :o stuff
Well it does say Leo Howell at the top, so you had fair warning. "Lovey, was that Gilligan I saw sneaking out the back of our hut?" - Thurston Howell III, nine months before the miraculous birth of Leo
LOL
The ONLY reason I wouldn't want them to fire schiano, is that I'm scared of who else they might dig up.But at this point, it's worth the risk. Hell, what are we risking anyway? ..one year and eight to ten more losses?I ain't sceeerd.
