Rachaad White points a finger at player(s):
“I don’t know,” White replied. “It boils down to for me, how I look at it, just being honest, we all just got to look in the mirror. We all gotta have a level of pride, a level of care. And right now, we all just, you know, are kind of floating around and blowing in the wind. So I think we need to come out with our piss hot and let’s see what happens.”
teams dont win when players think that way.

Seems like a reasonable take. No point in throwing any specific player or coach under the bus. The players are complicit in this collapse as much as the coaches are.
I for one am frustrated with Rachaad's usage the last few weeks. He's arguably been their best runner but any time he has a decent gain he's substituted right back out. None of these guys are able to get any kind of momentum going.

The Bowles culture
yes its the culture of a team falling apart. A year or two ago (or both) "Bowles culture" had them overcoming adversity with young guys. Its a results-oriented league though and things change quickly.

i can't say the culture was ever really great under Bowles.
the last 3 years at least included long losing streaks in season with only reason us making playoffs was weak division, at least in the first 2 cases
Bucs felt they were playing with house money because of being a shit franchise and post Brady not having high expectations; but make no mistake, this shitness has been around since the beginning of his coaching career here. Enough is enough, raise the bar.

I don't know about great but having a young team play through a slump and get to the goal of playoffs under pressure is good coaching.
I get that Bowles will likely get fired and the team is in an epic collapse but denying the former while saying the latter is like saying a coin only has one side.

Smith is in the safety position but he is not playing safety, he's looking in the backfield as trying to jump an out if it comes. Key player not filling his fundamental role, freelancing or whatever you want to call it.
Yeah he needs to go back to the slot
Both Tykee and Winfield were terrible down the stretch. Absolutely some of the worst safety play I have ever witnessed. And Winfield wearing a "C"......smh
"would've, could've, should've" but the Bucs had 5 or 6 games where they could've easily changed the outcome of the season and if you look back at those games a number of the losses involve key OUT OF POSITION plays by Tykee Smith.
The first loss after the bye and the one that seemed to shock people was the Patriots loss. Smith features in that loss because of a terrible miss in the hole on one of the big runs and then NOT playing safety behind Morrison on a long TD pass.
Smith gets beat on a Bills TD . .
Tykee Smith also features (badly) in the Cardinals game and the Dolphins game.
Curious to see what happens with him in 2026 because he's obviously a good player, but also maybe NOT a safety and certainly not a guy who was willing to stay in the scheme
Move him to slot and draft an actual coverage safety not one that wants to play in the box

I think they will move Parrish outside, so you might be spot on with the plan. The question then would be how does Smith respond because he was moved to S to be on the field more.
