I will give this guy [JC5100] credit. He can keep the argument civilized. That is rare on the Red.I totally disagree though. If Freeman was not given enough time here, or he went to Minny and balled at a high level, then those things would bolster his argument. But as we all saw, neither one of those things actually happened. Carry on.

What does time have to do with it? The coaching and defenses were bad all the way through. Here's a perfect example. If the Bucs had been playing the Saints Week 16 to clinch the playoffs and essentially win or lose the NFC South and Freeman threw 181 yards 1 TD 1 INT and the Bucs had 10 first downs there would be 40 threads about how we need to trade for Cousins, or sign Cassel or draft Manziel. Cam Newton does it and this happensN-Cam-Newton-Large570.Jpg

You mean that week 16 where the Panthers won 17-13?  So the fans would have been clamoring for a new QB when we clinched the division.  Surely you jest...

Well if he is as good as you say JC5100 then he will get tryouts and ball at a high level with some team. I think you might be the only one who thinks he can do that though.

Bucs defense was incapable of beating good teams 17-13 or 10-9 like how Carolina beat New Orleans and San Francisco. That's the point.

When was the last time Freeman played well in a shootout in which the defense couldn't hold on?

2011 Packers, 2012 Giants, 2012 Saints is what you're asking for, but what does that have to with the defense's inability to win low scoring games?

It's been roughly 25 games since the defense blew a good game from Freeman.

Using Freeman's starts, the home 2012 Falcons game was 9 starts ago. Home Saints 2012 was 14 starts ago, Giants game was 18 starts ago. I would consider the Redskins game good for Freeman too, that was 16 starts ago.

How many QBs without significant prolonged success in the past get to suck for 10+ straight starts while by all accounts being a knucklehead off the field?

LOL the Redskins game was good for Freeman? Had 0 TDs in the first half, 0. The defense blew nothing seeing as Freeman didn't even decide to show up until the fourth quarter.

Yea, I was there.  The game was over by the time Freeman "turned it on"

http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/quarterbackRating Hmmm...I see Mike Glennon (83.9) sitting at #21, yep there's Pryor (69.1) and Ponder (77.9) and even Geno Smith (66.5)...but where is Freeman?Oh yea, his QBR was 59.8.  Kind of sad when you arent even included on a list of the top 37 QBs and only 32 teams.

The defense obviously played better for Glennon.

That's interesting considering we had the lead late in the 4th.
