LOL the Redskins game was good for Freeman? Had 0 TDs in the first half, 0. The defense blew nothing seeing as Freeman didn't even decide to show up until the fourth quarter.
Yea, I was there. The game was over by the time Freeman "turned it on"
That's interesting considering we had the lead late in the 4th.
Very interesting considering we are discussing the suckage of your heartthrob. I noticed you opted to skim over my post where he wasn't even in the top 37 of QB's last year...but yea, awesome QB.
The defense obviously played better for Glennon.
In the wins they did.

I think I get it now. If Josh sucked it was the D's fault. If Glennon was good it was because of the D. It all makes sense now!!!

Wasn't the lead 1 pt, with about 2 minutes to go? That seems like a lot of time left for a team to get a drive going for a game winning fg attempt. But I get your point, the defense should have done it's job and shut RGMe down, like the Redskins defense did for the first half of that game including a pick.
This thread is way too long. Freeman is out of the league next year.

Obviously the defense was the cause of that, and his qbr of 5.3 against Dallas (not a typo, espn has 5.3 listed), along with 42.2 against Philly, can be solely attributed to the defense.....

Gotta be the defense. Its the only reasonable explanation as to why Glennon's rookie year QBR was higher than all but one of Freeman's years.

While we all know qbr doesn't tell the whole story, it amazes me that people wanted to give Freeman 5 years to find out he sucked, but want a 13 game rookie, who produced mixed results, benched. Both qbs had garbage for coaching, and yet they wanted to see Freeman because "he's only 25"....SMH
Very true, QBR does not tell the whole story. But yes, for all the reasons this board wants a Glennon replacement should be the exact same for why Freeman was banished.

Just facts. Miami came in here with a JV line and ran 14 times for 2 yards. Defense actually held a late lead.5 turnovers and held the lead vs Detroit5 turnovers, 7 sacks vs BuffaloAtlanta was a total team effort.

Just facts...Freeman dropped back to pass 155 times this past year, attempting 94 passes for the Buccaneers and 53 more in one game with the Vikings. Over his three games in Tampa Bay, Freeman performed far below expectation, totaling a putrid -21.04 Passing Net Expected Points - a player in his position would have scored over a touchdown more for the Bucs per game than Freeman did.But nothing - nothing - was worse than his lone game for Minnesota. I wrote about it when it happened, but Freeman lost over 20 points for the Vikings against the Giants on Monday Night Football earlier in the season, which was one of the worst single-game quarterback performances an NFL fan has ever seen. Had he been remotely competent in that game (or had the Vikings not rushed him onto the field so quickly), the team would have almost easily won.Freeman was also more inconsistent this year than even the aforementioned Gabbert, as his 32.26% pass Success Rate, which measures the proportion of passes that contribute positively towards a player's NEP, was lowest in the league among relevant passers. To put this horrific rate into perspective, Freeman was over 10 percentage points worse under the metric than Eli Manning, meaning Manning saw 10 additional successful passes per 100 drop backs than Freeman this season. Yikes.

You want facts, JC?In those four wins, the opposing team averaged 18.5 points while the offense averaged 28.5 points. In Freeman's three losses, the opposing team averaged 19 points while the offense averaged 11.33 points. You don't want fact, JC. You want spin.

By conventional metrics, he finished that game with a 83.2 passer rating, which is solidly in the respectable column. As I keep saying, bringing up these old games where he played at least average and lost is not the point. Freeman didn't get benched and then cut for playing respectable and losing like in the old days. He got ditched because his play went from decent-to-sometimes good to completely sucky. If he were still the player that lost that Redskins game, he'd probably still be here.
