If Lovie's the coach, it'll be done by Monday. If he's not hired by then, it'll be someone else.
Rooney Rule anyone?
The Glazers are always pretty stealthy when it comes to coaching searches. There is always a name that nobody is talking about that services out of nowhere (Gruden/Kelly/Schiano). I would not be surprised if Lovie is the guy but I would also not to shocked if we hire somebody that nobody has linked to us.
I still have a feeling deep inside of me, that the Lovie Smith blatant interest is a smokescreen.
My top 3 candidates are Lovie Smith, Ken Whisenhunt or Mike Zimmer. If Smith or Zimmer get the nod then Offensive Coordinator is going to be a crucial hire IMO for either of those guys.
LOL @ "will be" the first.
IMHO this is not the first time they have talked to Lovie. No proof just a feeling.
Yo, so it looks like we be hiring a HC and letting them hire the GM, but the HC will be in control, right?
Usually the Glazers are so secretive but Lovie makes a lot of sense.

Yes, it'd be very nice if they've already talked with Smith in detail and have worked out a staffing plan, including a GM he can work with. As to who would have final say over drafting, free agency, etc., that sounds like a power they'd be giving Smith if he's shaping the hiring (or they're shaping it around him). Not sure how I feel about that. I'd rather have a longer-term thinker to make personnel decisions.

+1
He was the first interview for the Texans as well. It kinda make him look desperate to get a HC job.
According to CBSSports, Lovie is also interested in the Detroit job...

All of the twitter "leaks" reek of the same thing...
