the issue is every third and long this team didnt get the team off the field. the lack of execution by the defense of tackling capernick is unexcusable. on the ten minute drive i saw them miss at least ten tackles and half the time it was arm tackles. sometimes two guys. this team needs to learn how to play up to the competition. we can beat scrubs but we cannot compete with the best. even with our starters coming back next yr we need big help on both lines and qb position. mike sullivan is a garbage coordinator and the play calling minus the hurry up is god awful. we still look unprepared against every 3-4 team out there and cant handle a blitz, we cant run a screen, we cant run to the outside without holding. bottom line we are failing miserably on all levels and that falls on the coaches.
We can beat most crappy teams. But good teams and even well coached mediocre teams we have no chance against.
I think we are an average team (8-8) at full strength with Glennon, Schiano and his staff. Not good enough in my opinion.I think the staff needs to go. Glennon remaining depends on the staff that is brought in. I think he has a future in the NFL but it is hard to determine whether he is the guy in this offense. Pretty sure the coaching staff has beat it in his brain to check down and take sacks when the play is not there. At some point, we have to see what he can do off the leash. If he is retained, I hope we can bring in a veteran QB to challenge him. Based on what I have seen, it is very difficult to assess the guy. On the surface it appears that he doesn't have that big play ability and moxy that you see in successful franchise QBs.
Wasn't that what everyone thought beginning the season?We had a ton of info on the inner workings and players on the jets roster, a healthy team, etc, etc.I say schiano's best would be last season.
After being staunchly in the Glennon camp, I've recently had the one big doubt I have of him keep rearing it's ugly head, can he take over a game that's close and pull out the win....not manage us to a win....but take over a game in the second half. I'm starting to think he might not have that necessary magic....but time will tell, I hope so though.

It actually looked like he might have had a shot at that today. Great drive when they finally stopped with the retarded playcalling and put him in a position to leverage his strengths. Then the D gave up a drive that lasted like five hours and the STs gave a fumble TD and it was over before he even had a chance.Not that they've shown they can, but hopefully the staff learns from that.

Well as of right now if we make a coaching staff change which I think we should my favorites from the job would be...College ranks#1- James Franklin#2- David Shaw#3- Charlie StrongPro#1- Darrell Bevel (SEA)#2- Greg Roman (SF)#3- Todd Bowles (KC) I also do like Adam Gase, Dave Toub and Pep Hamilton.
Shaw or roman would be my current picks for hc candidates.

His odds of being able to do that would probably be greatly enhanced if he had a healthy Mike Williams and a guy like Kellen Winslow was to JF in 2010.

Don't know much about Franklin. Shaw and Strong? I've had enough of college coaches for a while. Bevel has gotten a big push from Wilson. In fact, a lot of their offensive success is due to Wilson extending the play and the improvision of the receivers. Roman seems like a good option but I'm not sure if TB has the right defensive personnel for his scheme.
Agreed. Schiano made the team looked better when we faced scrubs; been saying that all year.
We look good against teams that we are more talented than, hmm...Not excusing Schiano just saying, at some point talent matters. We can hang with almost anyone with our defense but our offense is not good against a good defense.
