Let's assume a couple things.
1. Dirk Koetter gets fired
2. Jason Licht is fired (or not)
I have been very clear about how much I think of John DeFilippo. He was Derek Carr's rookie QB coach his rookie season and he was Carson Wentz's QB coach for two years. This year he is the OC for the Minnesota Vikings and he is a prime candidate for a head coaching gig sooner rather than later.
This is where it gets tricky.
John Gruden is not able to bring the best out of Derek Carr. DeFilippo has experience with Carr and would covet working with him again.
If DeFilippo gets hired as the next Bucs coach, I can make a case that the Bucs should trade Jameis to the Raiders where Gruden LOVES him.
Based on the fact that Oakland NOW has three first round picks, the Bucs could get one in the trade.
Would you do it? Bucs TRADE Jameis Winston for Derek Carr and a first round pick in 2019.
