He isn't a smooth athlete, but consider that he is a BIG guy and his focus has always been on throwing accurate passes, not scrambling. Usually he hits 65% or more of his passes. Manziel looks like Neo from Matrix in comparison, but I'm not sure Manziel will look as good when he is playing guys who are just as fast or faster than him. Give Winston time to mature, but Jimbo may very well put him on some conditioning and agility drills (and ball security while running).

the referees were bad both ways but we got shafted a bit more often. multiple blatant PIs that werent called, the facemask, the horsecollar, some holding. to be fair we got away with some holding as well. i had some BIG10 fans warn me that their refs suckedif you ask me they were dazzled by the speed of the players on the field. theryre used to the usualy BIG10 plodders, not southern athletes

That end for Auburn , #30 , also got tackled from behind , blatant holding , twice on that final drive by the OT , and no call.The refs were simply not calling anything for either side , so you can't complain about the refs.
I agree that the refs let a lot of stuff go for both teams. I think they wanted to let the kids play. The PI in the end zone simply could not be ignored, he mauled the WR. You can make a play for the ball as long as you are not tackling the other guy at the same time.The kickoff return for a TD was a real shocker, but truth be told, I said to myself (too much time on the clock) and sure enough auburn ran it down our throats and scored. when they scored with over a minute left I said to myself (good, they left time on the clock). Worked out that each team scored at the end and made it a nail-biter. Serious depletion of my bourbon though.

I didn't see the ones you mentioned previously that they didn't call. But I saw the one you just mentioned before he threw the ball and thought it was pretty blatant.
It was pretty blatant (especially at full speed), but they let some pretty blatant ones slide. They also let slide/didn't see (wtf?) a blatant face mask on Winston earlier in the game and the blatant face mask/collar on that pass play near the end of the game.

I was pulling for FSU, but I'm not an FSU fan.My opinion of the game was that the better team won and Auburn was only in it due to the play of Winston. Winston looked like the game was a little too big for him early on. His throws were way off and he just looked nervous. In the second half, the defense got some stops and the Heisman winner played like a Heisman winner.
